Plan on trading in my iPhone, iPad Mini and Apple Watch if I like my Fold when it comes in this week. With all that, it will bring the price of the Fold and included Pixel Watch deal to around $600-$700. I love my iPad Mini more than my iPhone (truth to be told) so an all in one device sounds great to me. I tried the Z Fold 4 but did not like the front display and almost always rotated the it when I tried it out. Also was not a fan of having two app stores (Samsung and Google). I hope the Pixel Fold will fit the bill for what I want.

Erm what iPhone are you trading in? Idk if you’ve ever used a Google ecosystem before but… man good luck

As a fold 4 owner, I am very impressed with the thinness of the pixel fold, the width of the outside screen, and the landscape orientation when opened.

At $1800 it’s safe to say the Pixel Fold is about to tank as bad as every other Pixel 💯🤭😁

Thanks for the comparison photo of the pixel 7 pro zoom vs Pixel Folds. Been looking for more on that. I have a 6 Pro and curious to see the camera quality of my 6 pro vs Pixel Fold in 1x, 2x & 4x vs 5x of fold. Now do I get a fold when its price maybe drops one day, or get a pixel 8 pro. ugh!

I’ll skip this one, but I hope the Google Pixel Fold 2 fixes the crease and makes the bezels slightly thinner or parallel

  18. Erik Halaska

    June 26, 2023 at 7:33 pm

I really think we gotta look past that price point..some of the carrier promos are so insane, and im sure most of the people buying are getting on installments. ATT has it for $900 with no trade in required, and we all know prices of these android phones drop fairly quickly..I think they have the price like that to show value and how much of a deal the phone is. just my opinion though

    • FunThings

      June 26, 2023 at 8:53 pm

I don’t think android phones losing value quickly is a positive thing.

  19. Rolins

    June 26, 2023 at 7:34 pm

Frankly, zero incentive to buy the Pixel Fold (the external display is a bit too wide for my taste, and I don’t trust Google on anything hardware related), although it’s true that I would have really preferred the Galaxy Fold to have the form factor of the Huawei Mate X3 or Tecno Phantom V Fold.

And honestly, for me, a Fold whose user experience is not mainly focused on the internal screen, and who especially does not manage the Pen, has no interest.

Ps: why would I pay $1800 for a Fold to use the external screen 95% of the time 🤔

  20. Eddie Sequeira

    June 26, 2023 at 7:49 pm

I love that google made a foldable and I may again in the future own another one of their phones but they have some work to do. They need to work on performance and stability of their phones cause they don’t age well and get a ton of bugs. Google controls the hardware, software and chip just like apple does so they need to get on the ball and work on their products as a whole.

  21. boyohoyo

    June 26, 2023 at 7:59 pm

i think this is the foldable to beat.

  22. U Me

    June 26, 2023 at 8:43 pm

It is almost funny seeing these same reviewers on different platforms now finding the crease acceptable. People with small hands complain about typing on the fold 4 front screen (although the keyboard is expandable like crazy in portrait and landscape). “On the go” business people are okay with running only 2 apps max on 7.6 main screen and limiting an $1800 phone to extremely light work like watching a substandard video and playing a whack game. But it is all good because the non-Samsung fold is thin/wide with a big azz camera back. So now consumers should overlook how the pixel fold is heavier than both the z folds 3 and 4 (which the same reviewers complained about Samsung). $1800, and you can’t add a case to it or use a pen on the main screen 😂. Let me know when you all start treating these multi-billion companies the same and stop babying them.

    • andyH_England

      June 27, 2023 at 2:06 am

Most people buying these $1800 foldable already have other devices where they do real work. The foldable tech is rarely a 100% workflow as it has no attachable keyboard, essential for productivity and efficiency. So Folds are more for a quick task, for example, an email to a client where you attach a photo or doc, and two apps open are sufficient. Having more apps on an 8-inch screen becomes cluttered and counter-productive.

I think most people understand that Samsung’s take is a poor show and all the data I have seen suggests that the Pixel Fold or Huawei Mate X3 are far superior user experiences for the front display. A major failure by Samsung and if these Chinese phones were not banned in the US, the Galaxy Fold would sell even less than it does now. The people I know and most reviews suggest that users work on the front display 60-70% so it is vital the front display is perfected. I hated the Fold4, it is just such a bad take that I just wonder if Samsung has a clue. It even took Samsung five goes to work out that the Flip needs a useful front display!!!

@amfrepo  you are the one who does not have a fold but keep attempting to make up these nonsense theories. I had this time-wasted conversation with you before. Weren’t you just wanting something to read on anyway as you are not productive anyway?

2:50 you can do that on any Android device. That’s a feature of the apps, not the device.

Talking about “my preference is to use one app” has no place in whats supposed to be a review. You ought to be highlighting and testing the capability entirely.

I literally just got the pixel 7 pro like 2 months ago but I bought it out right from Google because my Samsung broke. I just paid it off so I am going to finance the fold thru Verizon. I just have to have it, and it’s my birthday present so what the heck.

Pro Apple biased tech media in research of flaws, on Samsung Fold they found the crease as an excuse to complain and now on Pixel Fold it doesn’t fold flat. American reviewers destroying tech news with their Apple biases and toxicity.
