    Nice paid review
You should mention some fold phones with no gap. No gap is a big step for samsung maybe but not for a folders in general. They exist for more than a year already. Instead you just mention that pixel still have the gap💀💀

      It wasn’t a review.

Samsung still has the best software experience over all the other foldables by far.

Wait! if you had a hands on with it why would you say I want to see if this makes a difference when you talked about the screen brightness? So u lied about your hands on!?

    • NextNate03

      July 26, 2023 at 7:33 am

Everybody at that event had a extremely limited amount of time with the device.
Probably didn’t have enough time with it.
That is why it was a hands on instead of a proper review that covers everything including the screen brightness.

      *Edit*
If you watch the video, they did showed her having a hands on with the Fold 5.

The only reason I bought mine Fold 4 is the amount of trade-in Samsung gave me on my Note phone.

I would recommend people to wait 1-4 years before buying a foldable phone.

Honor Fold V2 absolutely killed it and for around 1300 it’s a steal..5th generation and still plagued with such a annoying crease .
    At 1800 DOA for me.

Cheap Samsung can’t include a charging brick with a $1900 phone.

Keeping my fold 3. Still hardly any noticeable improvements.

Sitting down with these phones in your back pocket would be heartbreaking…

This means Samsung gave up on the Chinese market and knows it has no competition in the west. Every Chinese foldable that copied Samsung’s original design is now vastly superior to the Fold 5. E.g: Honor Magic V2 which is only 9.9mm thin!

Keeping my 4. Not worth the upgrade! Ill give them a few your or might just ship to something us. How your top tier phone camera is the worst and flashlight sucks.

Can’t deal with the crease… Thought they would have improved on this.. 😢 guess I have to wait for the z fold 6..

“can’t deal with the crease” lol. The HUMANITY!

      July 26, 2023 at 2:11 pm

@chris7077 have you use the spen while writing on the screen. I am not paying 1800 for a crease in the screen. Tell me the tv , phone screen that have a crease . Exactly

    • weedahoe

      July 26, 2023 at 4:08 pm

I have the 4, never really notice the crease but it’s there IF YOU HOLD it at an angle to catch the reflection just right. If that’s all that is stopping you, that’s just an excuse. Not your reason. I ordered and traded in my F4 for the new F5. I also traded my Tab S8 Ultra for the S9 Ultra and my Watch 5 Pro for the 6 Pro because after all of the preorder discounts, points accumulated, trade in credits and more, I spent just at $1K and still got another setup of the Buds Pro 2 and a F5 case with the sPen. Can’t beat that.

    • MrDLJ5

      July 26, 2023 at 5:25 pm

Unless you look at your phone from an angle, you won’t notice the crease. That said, other folds have long since improved on the prominence of the crease. Samsung hasn’t made any improvements that haven’t already been accomplished elsewhere smh, that includes the larger outer screen.

    • Jabari Mutabaruka

      July 26, 2023 at 7:03 pm

@weedahoe  your a dam liar. If you don’t feel that crease when you touch it , seeing , and using the touch screen, you need your senses checked. So the majority of the people who reviewed this phone isn’t telling the truth. I like the foldable. That’s not an excuse. That’s a concern how many videos of screens breaking and splitting down the middle. How are you going to tell a person that’s not a main concern when the person is stating a real fact.

    00:37 You’re showing a comparison between Z Fold 2 and Z Fold 3. The left one is clearly 2, not 4.

Poor Samsung. I can see why everyone’s been like, meh… 🤭

It looks bigger than the fold 4

  18. Duncan Happy Family 🥰

    July 26, 2023 at 11:44 am

What’s annoying is still the 25 watt charging speed.. come on now Honor Magic V2 comes with 5000mah and 66 watt fast charge…cover screen still stay the same narrow, we need bigger screen and spen using on the screen cover… what attract me is still the flip 5 and series 6 classic watch

    • weedahoe

      July 26, 2023 at 4:09 pm

So buy the Samsung 65w charger. It’s what I use.

      Yep no way I’m upgrading

    • GodSlayer AMVS

      July 26, 2023 at 2:38 pm

@Tangy honestly my thoughts its litterally the same apart from one thing 😅 maybe an tiny bit worse on the batteryside but oh well

    • Tangy

      July 26, 2023 at 2:41 pm

@GodSlayer AMVS I have no issue with the battery myself man and the closing gap thing I don’t even notice lol

    • GodSlayer AMVS

      July 26, 2023 at 2:50 pm

@Tangy same i just meant in reguard too the battery is normally improved on ! Also im not changing phone i have enough trouble wrestling an 360⁰ case on this one 🤣🤣🤣🤣 im making it last

  20. Mo Chen

    July 26, 2023 at 12:08 pm

    Kinda disappointing, let me explain:

    – New chip from each upgrade is just the norm, and it’s qualcalm’s work not Samsung’s.
    – Front screen is still too narrow, u don’t want to type on such narrow screen you will make typos on almost every word you type.
    – No build-in S Pen, this alone will make this upgrade worth it, but I guess Samsung must think it might cannibalize S23U revenue.

I think the ideal upgrade should be make front screen wider, and use that additional room to make build in S Pen. Which will also make the big screen better aspect ratio for movies/videos.

In short, my honest opinion is that this years fold upgrade is very underwhelming.

The inner display camera is still the same? Nah, I’ll pass. Think I’m gonna keep my Fold 3 for another year.

No reviews or manufacturers seem to focus on accessibility.

These phones with larger screens are attractive to visually impaired users because we need large fonts and icons, but are often stuck using devices like the Samsung Galaxy Active 3 tablet because it’s more affordable.

It has a sim tray, so can be used as a phone, but doesn’t support functions like wifi calling.

I wish Samsung, Pixel and Oppo would consider VI users more when user testing these large screen devices.

    • weedahoe

      July 26, 2023 at 4:10 pm

You can change the size of your font and icons size easily.

No gap is an improvement?!! How? It’s still the same. I barely notice how the fold 4 is gapless

    • weedahoe

      July 26, 2023 at 4:12 pm

Totally agree. I barely notice my F4 gap but you know how people are these days, they just have to find SOMETHING to complain about.

  25. Bryan

    July 26, 2023 at 1:13 pm

Yeah still no reason to upgrade again, keeping my fold 3

  26. Savage AZN

    That was a Z fold 2 and 3, not 3 and 4 in that picture 😅

Needs an internal s pen and wider outer display to justify the premium price

  28. Marvel DC united

    July 26, 2023 at 2:00 pm

TM Roh is ruining Samsung by following Apple. No improvements just price increase

  29. diesel mic

    July 26, 2023 at 2:06 pm

Only reason I got zfold 5 was price and upgrade. My zfold3 received 800 usd trade value for a 512 gig zfold5 massive win. Finally I did not upgrade zfold 3 to zfold 4 and patiently waited a one year cycle. If you own a zfold 4 you should not upgrade… if zfold 6 pulls out the same stunt of no major upgrade I will be out and no more buying any foldable phone. The phone is expensive Samsung should meet expectations.

These folding phones are great tech but still too fragile for everyday use.

  31. NHV303

    July 26, 2023 at 2:21 pm

The flat fold is so much better. That gap hinge was what stopping me from getting the Z Fold 4, and the small outer display. OnePlus Open is coming out next month though, probably shorter front display which will make it way bigger, like a normal phone.

Does this phone have the capability to pin an app ? I am referring to the ability to lock an app so that you can’t get out of the app. My Samsung phone has it and I use this feature all the time with YouTube kids

  38. Terry Szeto

    July 26, 2023 at 5:09 pm

I’m still not sure who is getting the fold for entertainment as you mentioned… the aspect ratio is so squared that you’re really not getting much from media consumption.. without big black bars anyways
