Um, no, Christians originally believed in ghosts. St. Sebastian, one of the earliest Christian martyrs (A roman soldier who converted) appeared to a woman named Lucina, after his death, to tell her where to find his body, so that she could give him a proper burial. This happened in 288. The Bible wasn’t compiled even in its earliest form, until 382 so we’re talking very early, pre-biblical Christianity. (Yes, all of the books that would eventually wind up in the Bible were circulating – in various forms – but so were a lot of books later rejected as non-canonical. So no, there was no one, established Bible at that time.) Pope Gregory the First didn’t become Pope until 590. For that matter, in the Bible the Apostles saw Jesus walking on water and thought he was a ghost.
So at this point you’ve lost me and I stopped watching the video. This “expert” hasn’t done his homework.

As a kid I lived in a traumatic household and never knew God or any belief at that and I seen a ghost in our hallway. As I was sleeping something just woke me up and as I gathered myself I turned my head towards the hallway and seen her standing there. She looked at me and the fear came over me as I pulled the quilt over my head and looked through the holes in it I just froze. She looked directly at me and smiled and turn around and walked away into my parents room and disappeared. I just happened to fall asleep in the living room on the couch. Now here is what’s crazy as I got older I started thinking deeper and deeper as i grew older and the more it played in my head I started to realize that her smile was sinister. So here’s more crazy stuff my sister visited me one time and we were just talking about our past and I brought this story up which I never told anyone and she looks at me shockingly and says “How do you know this?” And I said “Because I seen it….”. She then proceeds to follow up with “I seen that exact ghost with the same description as you described and there is no way you knew because I never told you”. I got goosebumps etc. Anyways this face has been etched in my head for decades now lol. This is why I believe in ghosts. I later found God when I hit a deep rock bottom and got pass my arrests etc and I have never turned back but I had a lot of weird supernatural encounters since believing in God as well. Anyways yeah my household was dark due to my parents so it wouldn’t be surprising some sinister entity wanted to hangout there lol.

I feel compelled to remind everyone that fictional stories shared by a well educated person who seems like they believe them to be nonfiction are very much still fictional stories.

the catholic church doesn’t believe in ghosts if asked they will bless or preform a mass in a place that believed to be hunted for you but that doesn’t mean the church condones the idea of the soul being stuck on earth purgatory isn’t on Earth

A comment : Día De Los Muertos is a Mexican tradition (may also be part of some Central American traditions, I’m not sure). It is not a Hispanic tradition. Just like there are many countries in Europe with different beliefs and traditions, there are many different Latin American countries – with different beliefs and traditions.

To touch on “digital ghosts” my recently deceased father liked my memorial Facebook post. Could it be a glitch or a hack? Of course, but it’s impossible to tell. I’d like to think he manipulated it somehow 🤣
