Sorry but I couldn’t watch due to her choices

      What choices?

    • OW

      September 29, 2022 at 1:22 pm

@blaster915 I’m guessing because she probably chose Apple Watch over Fitbit in terms of software and she was using an iPhone.

Fitbit: You are stressed… you are stressed… you are stressed…
Me: I KNOW AND YOU ARE MAKING IT WORSE.
    😂

Uhm Fitbit! I would be interested to know if anyone has had any nerve/skin issues with wearing this new fitbit.

Apple has a bit more than just an edge over fitbit! ha ha

Ironically Fitbit came up with Sleep, Oxygen, and even Sense had Temperature sensors before Apple did. What Apple does give you is all the apps third party developers do and a copy of the previously known Fitbit coach program and sensors. You would almost assume they constantly analyze what sells on the App Store and copy those things… See Tile, etc My question is what would Apple do if other companies didn’t bring innovation….

Is it true that some of the features are behind pay wall(Fitbit premium subscription).

    • rethy1

      September 29, 2022 at 10:57 pm

Honestly one of the biggest turn offs from fitbit.. *here pay good money for a premium smartwatch * also pay to see all your data from the watch 🙄

More nonsense that most people don’t need

    • Gabi.

      September 29, 2022 at 2:49 pm

Then they can just stick to the cheaper models. Having options is not a bad thing…

    • Tech Ninja

      September 29, 2022 at 5:58 pm

Then don’t buy one…simple as that. Not everyone wants a smartwatch or a fitbit yet alone a Fitbit Sense. They aren’t trying to convince everyone to get one.

  9. Alain Saintvil

    September 29, 2022 at 2:58 pm

Don’t need a watch to know that I’m stressed.

    • Tech Ninja

      September 29, 2022 at 5:57 pm

That’s not always true. Sensors can detect health issues way before you physically feel stress. Stress is one of the leading causing of decline in one’s health.

    • Alain Saintvil

      September 29, 2022 at 6:22 pm

@Tech Ninja Correct. Negative stress is a major factor in a person’s health. A sensor will detect any level of stress. Even good stress. In addition, stress manifest over a period of time. If you need a watch to tell your stress levels are elevated, then your not paying attention to what happens to your body and the adjustments you need to make to decrease your stress levels. A watch is helpful, I won’t argue that. It provides data. But coming from an older generation, people knew they were stressed. They might not had the data to prove it, but they knew.

@Tech Ninja well i mean i’d say if you’re using an iphone the apple watch would be way better

But in the Android world sadly, that’s not an option.

Does this support music streaming apps like Spotify and can it download playlist to play music offline without being connect to phone..?

    • jay

      September 29, 2022 at 7:01 pm

no, you can only control another device playing spotify. i would get a galaxy or apple watch or wait for the pixel watch and see if that’ll work with offline listening

  12. harram11

    September 29, 2022 at 6:45 pm

if you are going through anxiety issues or depression the notifications make a huge difference even if you dont see them right away or ignore it all together over time the visual of how often you are over stressed helps you see how much its actually happening (roughly) and also helps your therapists understand what is going on especially if you take notes. paired with the heart rate monitor it is really good for mental health. I mean the biggest thing that stops people from taking these steps is it is not easily accessible like who carries paper and pen to write down every time they are stressed and what they are thinking. this is also a stealthy way to work on your mental health but no one knows what you are doing so there is no embarrassment in public or fear of someone asking what your doing and seeing your page.

The reg sense is a little larger than the new Reg sense has the shiny stainless ring around the face body which makes it look a little better Sens2 looks like the Versa 3or 4

I have the original Sense since 9/2020 and I really like it. I doubt mine will get the OS upgrade, so I am planning on getting either the Sense 2 or the Pixel Watch. Hopefully the Pixel Watch has all the updated sensors.

Is the watch performing fine after 2 years of usage @Kyle?

    • Kyle

      September 30, 2022 at 5:01 pm

@Snehasish Ghosh no issues at all. The battery still lasts 5+ days and works like it was out of the box.

do t forget is called” FIT”bit. is not a smart watch. it’s not its priority. many reviewers are too eager to trow the Iwatch word. the fitbit it’s comparable to a polar entry level watch. or a garming vivoseries.

    • A_Hopeful

      September 30, 2022 at 5:14 am

      Perfectly said.
The advertised 6 day battery life with most of the features I want from a smartwatch is what’s kept me in the Fitbit ecosystem for so long.

Would love Wear OS like features, but don’t want to deal with having to carry a watch on a trip which just dies during a hike

Let’s see if the announced Google Maps integration is any good, that will be a game changer in a device like this.

  19. Patrick Tam

    September 30, 2022 at 1:00 am

Welp. No Google assistant means I’m keeping first gen. Was nice to have 3-4 day battery life with Google assistant.

    • A_Hopeful

      September 30, 2022 at 5:10 am

Hearing a lot about Google assistant snub.
As someone who’s never had a smartwatch capable enough (am still on a 4 yo Fitbit Versa), can you explain what it actually adds to your watch experience?

  20. Dave Appleby

    September 30, 2022 at 2:00 am

I know that I don’t plan to buy any Fitbit again. Had the Versa 2 and when the latest update came in, it bricked the watch and even though I tried to reinstall the update properly as the Fitbit support person instructed, it was completely unusable. Fitbit would not replace the watch even though it was due to their update. Not impressed!

Bought a Apple Watch, and I’m never looking back..
The FitBit app never getting a dark mode after YEARS of requests from people!
They ruined it for them selfes

The same failed charging pin system as the Sense. I’m on my seventh charging cable over two years, as each prior charging cable develops a pin that no longer springs into place, both FitBit’s branded cable and third-party cables!

Why can’t anyone do a review without mentioning the apple crap watch?

  25. Adam

    That was 1 rubbish review

  26. Elias

    September 30, 2022 at 5:43 pm

I really like the stress tracking functionality. Couple of days of using the watch isn’t enough to appreciate this feature, of course. Soon enough, you will see a pattern and potentially can reflect on what type of food, environment regiments….. influence the trends
