When people say 97% of climate scientists agree that global warming is happening, that’s because
the government gives out millions each year for climate research .. BUT it only gives that money to scientists that produce scientific results that support the global warming hypothesis. So if they want the money these scientists have to support that position, therefore 97% of the scientific reports published support global warming …

      March 12, 2025 at 11:23 am

I put your question into ChatGPT (but replaced “pollution” with “climate change”, as I presume that’s what you mean. Here’s what it said:

      India’s Efforts on Climate Change
India has been increasingly focused on addressing climate change, despite its large population and reliance on fossil fuels, particularly coal. The country has made various commitments to reduce emissions and promote clean energy, while also balancing its development needs.

Commitments to Net-Zero: India has pledged to achieve net-zero emissions by 2070 during the COP26 summit in Glasgow (2021). This is a significant step, although it is seen as a later deadline compared to some developed nations.

Renewable Energy Targets: India is one of the world’s largest investors in renewable energy. It aims to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based power capacity by 2030 and generate 50% of its electricity from renewable sources by that time.

      National Action Plans and Policies:

National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC): Launched in 2008, it outlines eight national missions focused on areas such as solar energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable agriculture.
Energy Efficiency: India established the Perform, Achieve, and Trade (PAT) scheme and the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) to promote energy efficiency.
Focus on Solar Power: India is working to become a global leader in solar energy. It launched the International Solar Alliance (ISA), aiming to bring together solar-rich countries to promote the use of solar energy.

Afforestation Programs: India has made efforts to increase its forest cover and has undertaken large-scale afforestation programs to help absorb carbon dioxide and improve environmental quality.

Adaptation Measures: Given the vulnerability to climate change impacts (such as floods, heatwaves, and droughts), India is working on various adaptation strategies, particularly in agriculture and water management.

      China’s Efforts on Climate Change
As the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases, China plays a crucial role in global climate efforts. The country has made significant strides in both reducing emissions and transitioning to clean energy.

Commitment to Carbon Neutrality: China has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2060. President Xi Jinping made this pledge during the UN General Assembly in 2020, which marked a pivotal moment in China’s climate strategy.

Emissions Peak by 2030: China aims to peak carbon emissions by 2030. It is investing heavily in low-carbon technologies and energy efficiency to reach this target.

Renewable Energy Leadership: China is the world’s largest producer and consumer of renewable energy, particularly solar and wind power. It plans to expand its renewable energy capacity significantly to meet carbon neutrality goals. In 2021, China was responsible for one-third of the world’s new renewable energy installations.

      Green Development Initiatives:

China is promoting electric vehicles (EVs) through incentives and policies to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The government is also investing in EV infrastructure, such as charging stations.
It is also working to shift its economy toward green industries by pushing for green manufacturing, sustainable agriculture, and energy-efficient buildings.
Carbon Market: China launched its national carbon market in 2021, aiming to cap emissions and allow companies to trade carbon credits. This is part of a broader strategy to regulate emissions in key sectors like power generation.

Environmental Regulations and Investment: The Chinese government is increasingly tightening environmental regulations, investing in green technologies, and using economic tools like green finance to fund sustainable development projects.

Forest Conservation and Carbon Sinks: China has invested in forest restoration and conservation, becoming one of the world’s largest carbon sink contributors. It has set goals to increase forest coverage and improve ecological protection

Based on all the thinking that you’ve done so far, you know what’s really needed:

    C – Curtail geo-GHG extracts 1.7% per month prioritizing by highest GWP-10.
A – Abate high GWP-10 emissions ASAP, using biosource to replace geosource.
N – Negative embodied emissions in materials as much as possible ASAP.
D – Diversify ecosystems with maximum afforestation and conservation ASAP.
I – Inform policymakers and engineers on geo-GHG-negative economic benefits.
E – Eliminate all geo-GHG leakage through trade and financial border measures.
S – Strategically overcome regulatory capture by effective grassroots action.

GWP-10 is the property of a gas that describes how much global warming happens because of it in the ten years after it goes into the air.
A geo-GHG is a greenhouse gas that we brought out from underground.

At least 95% of CANDIES needs businesses, institutions and government to do them.

      March 13, 2025 at 9:22 pm

@bartroberts1514  Yeah, well, I don’t have the science education to understand your explanation, so it’s useless to me. Who is your comment aimed at? Scientists? Corporations? Governments? Or random YouTube viewers like me?

Cuz if your target is the last group, what we need is actionable steps we can take. All the science terms, abbreviations & acronyms are just confusing to the average Joe, and the speaker in this TED talk SAID that throwing information at people doesn’t help. If your intended audience is scientists, corporations or governments, it would be helpful to state that, so the random YouTube viewers like myself can just categorize it as “not relevant to me” & bypass it. 🙃

    • @bartroberts1514

      March 13, 2025 at 9:36 pm

@@BonnieShadow33 You’d have to trust me, for me to tell you actionable steps you can take, though. And you shouldn’t really trust rando’s like me on places like YouTube. That’s also how we get in messes like this: trust without taking the time and doing the work.

So actionable step 1) is to do the work that makes your eyes not glaze over.

Because if CANDIES is too hard, then there’s no way forward.

Nobody said the climate isn’t changing. It’s been changing since the earth was formed. It’s nothing new that has suddenly happened for the first timebecause of people. What makes you think people can change the weather? Indian used to do a rain dance did they make it rain? The Distance the earth orbits round the earth changes and so does the temperature. The Sun is a nuclear reaction without a thermostat, its temperature changes all the time. There was more CO2 greenhouse gases 600 million years ago than anytime other time on earth proven with ice core samples. This is factual Science that no man can change. Why do you ignore science? Who is gaining from this scientific data exclusion? Why do use incomplete science to alarm people! 😵‍💫🤯 Climate Change is Spring, Summer, Winter and Fall. It’s normal! Trust the science!
