No wonder why China and WHO tag team against Remdesivir.

@samsung a10 The study went for too long. They claim the drug is more effective in shorter duration.

    *TOTAL BS*
I quote this China funded study:
“In this study of adult patients admitted to hospital for severe COVID-19, remdesivir *was not* associated with statistically significant clinical benefits”

He is SUCH a douche bag! So he has all the confidence in the world in a new drug that his buddies in big pharma benefit from but he has no confidence in drugs that have been in use for decades. You know why? The old drugs are not patented so his buddies will make NO money from them. Look at the other drugs this guys has pushed in the past, they were later taken off market because they killed MILLIONS. FUCK FAUCI

Interesting development, but I guess I’m not surprised.

As that was unfolding since late February, they refused to fund HDCQ studies. (only 3 out of several hundred trials). The enrollment / admissions guidelines for 2 of those trials were so narrow they almost ensured you can’t use HDCQ on active patients this side of a ventilator and one is a prophylaxis exposure study.

The Patented US made exotic only discovered in 2016 wins out over a 40 year old worldwide generic that has already proven effective, so much so it was included in S. Koreas clinical treatment guidelines published Feb 12th.

You may remember that S. Korea, who is a world leader in biomedical research, snuffed their Covid issue out some time ago.

Oh, and it’s an IV drug, so you have to be admitted to the floor for a 10 day course of treatment. $$$$

Gilead’s stock sky rockets. Why am I not surprised?

go take your damn negativity elsewhere … thank the god that you are not awaiting this trial … oooh, wait … you still have time to be exposed, succumb …. too late!!!

@darlene harris I would submit that I didn’t make myself entirely clear.

Remdesivir will be fine once you are hospitalized. Under current protocols you will be very, very sick by the time that happens and even if you survive there is increasing evidence that this virus leaves you with permanent pulmonary damage.

In the system that I work we are trying to prevent hospitalizations….which was the whole point of a nationwide lock down, flatten the curve to prevent the hospitals being overrun.

Where I am I have been pushing for the community paramedicine option where we push out into the community, where people are sick in their homes, before they require hospitalization. We arrive, we test, we prescribe the zinc ionophores, we monitor via telemedicine.

We intervene early in the disease process, we keep people out of the hospital….which is the approach that was successfully implemented in S. Korea.
