I like this style of reviews, much better and enjoyable

Its neat, but just another gimmick party trick. When someone makes an affordable robot that can move up and down stairs, and have workable arms with decent strength, then that would be a real game changer.

I’ll say it again. I would rather have a well trained dog than spend $1000+ on this toy.

I rather have the robot it’s cleaner

So why do you want it since you said it’s unnecessary doesn’t make sense

Interacting with a screen 2 feet off the floor is beyond stupid. The screen itself should be on a telescoping mount. It sounds compelling for security sentry if one could trust Amazon which you cannot.

Astro is a piece of junk. It is more of a house pet that you don’t have to walk.

I’m glad they released it, so they can much quicker get useful feedback on how to develop it further. But I pity everyone that buys one, because they might have fun with them for one day, but very rapidly they will realize it’s essentially useless and gets in the way.

Would much rather have a inside drone for security (assuming it can solve going up and down stairs eventually). Or 10 inside cameras for the same price.

Echo Show $250 but Echo Show on Wheels $1,000 🤔
if Astro had a builtin vac feature that would make more sense.

Not to mention collecting your family members’ and habits in the comfort of your home. It can also collect data on personal items in your house. If you forgot a vibrator or packs of condom on your sofa, that data can potentially be recorded. I think instead of buying the robot, amazon should be paying you w store credits monthly in exchanging for you to keep and use it at home

  28. BobPagani

    April 22, 2022 at 11:45 am

So this $1000 gadget can bring a drink to you slowly but only after a human puts the drink into the cupholder first. What a terrific time and labor saver!

i like the idea since my dog is home alone all day. I wonder if I can program it to give the dog treats. 😉 I wonder if it could interact with my Amazon Blink Cameras.

I thought it would be a unique product but it’s just an Echo Show with wheels, also kinda dull

It will never work in the real world. Just FYI Japanese has try this concept for years. I will wait for another 10 years until a real robot comes.
