The Metaverse reminds me of a YouTube video in which someone created a video game which recreated real life in real time. Like, you had to take a bus to your boring job and you had to wait for it 30 minutes in real time.

The only people actually interested in expanding the toxic world of social media into a virtual space– are the vapid tech bros like Zuck, who are consumed with greed and clout and know nothing about real life or how actual humans interact. Let’s throw away this terrible idea. Instead, work on getting rid of the advertising business model of social media, which only serves to wreck actual society and gets everyone triggered and hooked on rage. Make social media more like real human interactions rather than dreaming up more nonsense like this

Metaverse will only go mainstream once “facebook” is not the developer/owner of it. Who wants to put more information on Facebook which constantly leaks/sells our data.

And mapping the earths homes in 3D for free, genius. I can see a bunch of new info to sell to 3rd parties. They profit on sheeple.

People don’t realize the metaverse will end up simply being a digital layer viewed through AR glasses built over our physical world.
