Explain this to me science lover, why is it that in the last however many thousand years of human consciousness, we haven’t evolved at all? All the evolution supposedly happened before we have any proof it actually did. Why did we stop evolving? It’s in the name “evolution”, why aren’t we changing anymore?

@·Depends on what timespan ur talking about, in some thousands of years u wont see much if any changes at all:D We are still evolving, get further rid of unnecessary parts etc and grow other stuff.

Anyone with chronic dry eyes or eye strain will argue that maybe we need those nictitating membranes back. 😉

But for reals now… we do have lubricating glands in our eyes which tend to get clogged up. Putting heat packs over your eyes can loosen those clogs. I’ve been able to manage my eye strain and dry eyes using primarily that method. Give it a try.

I have auricular muscles and found out a use for them. When i have earbuds in they usually isolate sound completely, so kinda dangerous to have them on out on the street for example, but if i pull my ears back using the muscles, they dislodge the earbuds and it allows me to hear the environment again. Then once i don’t need to hear my environment i just relax and they lock back in. Pretty silly but also quite convenient to not have to take them out lol

The muscles also pull back my entire scalp by like half an an inch, so it also has the effect of giving me an instant facelift

He’s wrong about the wisdom teeth – they come in just fine when we eat a more natural diet that requires hours more cheweing on a daily basis (roots, tubers, vegetables, ruffage) than the modern one comprised of mostly simple carbohydrates. Tribes living in the Amazon, who still eat this diet, have very healthy teeth and fully-structured jawlines.
It is true that our skull shape is changing anthropologically, but it is still able to accomodate wisdom teeth for MOST people.

I just recently watched a video elsewhere that contradicted the idea that flat feet are primarily genetically inherited. It mentioned that Asian, Indian, and African pediatricians reported very few cases of flat feet, especially compared to American and European doctors. Babies feet are basically all flat and arches develop through childhood. The studies suggest that children who go barefoot more often in early childhood are unlikely to have flat feet.

Great video, although I suspect some people will get their knickers in a twist over the remarks regarding apes as our closest relatives.
I have fairly flat feet and it’s never bothered me. (Maybe because they’re also narrow?) It was amusing to me as a kid to see how much more of a footprint I left after exiting the pool and walking around the pool area compared to the footprints of my friends.

  56. Ahmad Elkaragy

    August 6, 2023 at 2:30 pm

Although the video has many useful “uses” to the seemingly “useless” body parts, its very contradicting!

After all, If nothing among all those tens of thousands of body parts, organs, tissues, vessels, etc is found to be of no use, how dare you still believe in this evolution BS?!

Not only that, but also you Dr Jeffrey wrap every use around some hard to believe evolutionary basis. Funny enough.

If it’s evolution, why wouldn’t some 3 or 4 thousand body parts just redundant with no use whatsoever?

Even those you mentioned in this video to be vestigial, scientists have just not yet discovered functions for. So they simply labeled it as vestigial, out of plain difficulty to find function for them. But guess what, every some years or so, some studies suggest some functions for the previously vestigial!

If monkey’s are our ancestors, why the other didn’t evolve? Why did we did? Why is there chromosomes? Why didn’t any other species evolve into complex as human? Similarities doesn’t check the box of ancestors, do mind it. I don’t deny science but science denies its rootless assumptions.

In some individuals who care to make agressive hard-core assertions about the origin of mankind, it seems a part of the brain has become vestigial. The part that’s called the brain.

    • TimeLapse

      August 7, 2023 at 6:25 pm

I mean, assertions are made based on the best evidence at the time? Everything said in the video is accurate based on our best current evidence.

They’re not sure what its function is, but their official advice is that most people should have theirs surgically removed. In a related announcement, the AMA admitted that there is actually no such thing as an appendix. The spokesman said “We have a lot of explaining to do….”

Mr google said “Some of the advantages that can occur with flat feet are shock absorption, balance, and stability. The mechanics of flat feet mean they roll inward naturally. This can help some people with jumping and running.” I’m suing my parents because they made me wear flat foot insoles 🙂 I did not know my shock absorption and balance got worse because of wearing these painful shoes… I can do something to fix that? 😭

I’m all for science but why is he so fixated on being related to monkeys? There is no evidence showing we were monkeys, sure there are similarities but if you can give my physical evidence of evaluation I’m reconsider but all i’m seeing is human adaptation (not the same thing). Be my guest if you want to be related to a banana brain but, I prefer the truth, we are created and designed, by a power far greater than us. Sure we have changed and adapted to our situations but what he is talking about isn’t facts thats a theory.
