I can’t bare to hear “Go for power up” since the Challenger. I was watching it and I flash back to that day. I don’t understand how astronauts can sit on top of a bomb and be so calm

Encourage warrior or adventurer is a very useful “psychological ” hack instead of a trick, At least no one wants to discourage an astronaut risking his / her life, ( I still think sitting on a bomb trying to get rid of the Earth gravity is extremely dangerous,) Its difficult get rid of Earth, and it’s even more difficult to return safe, that would like you throw a basket ball, power strong enough to reach the basket, but not too much strength that the ball bounce back,

While I am jealous that I’ll never experience the “speed and power” of a rocket launch, I’m ok with not being strapped to an enormous bomb and fired into space lol

“Speed and power, speed and power” – I bet, given that you’re being pushed by literally MILLIONS of horsepower! I don’t remember the exact number, but it’s in the low millions. It’s the equivalent of dumping the entire output of a fairly large nuclear power plant into one vehicle. This stuff is amazing!

This is very Artemis-centric. Falcon 9 doesn’t fuel until just before launch.

Science is amazing..I do not understand why anyone working in a STEM job would want to do anything else. I want to say youtube and create content. But I don’t want to get harassed again. I understand bureaucracy – but seriously?

Most astronauts are atheists who don’t believe in God yet they believe in a card game and bad luck.

Look I understand its cool to launch a rocket up to space. But can we stop wasting our time on the moon? There’s nothing there. Why are we sending resources up there instead of fixing the climate crisis and animal extentions going on the world right now
