HAHAHAHAHA Eloon wants to buy Twitter to “unlock its potential” to be a “town square”. Because the collaboration of all of you idiots who work hard at Twitter hasnt worked! Better that a single individual ride herd over your lazy/tired butts and TELL YOU what to do. Authoritarianism at its best!! Better to have one very wealthy king – as opposed to so many dissenting voices.

I see the risk, but I’m happy he is doing it. Besides what stops a CEO from making stupid decisions? So a shareholder should be able to do w.e they want with their shares.

lol I love how petty Twitter got about the Edit button, and they keep emphasizing “Oh we already Had that idea back in 2021… we just didn’t mention it or implement it”… yeah, OK 🙄 Seems like a really simple idea they could have easily implemented at any point, yet it didn’t come up until Musk tweeted about it.

“Service good”…. It should be helping your brothers and sisters to solve world hunger. If it’s not about money than helping your fellow men in not just third world countries but, helping Americans that are homeless. A person that has chump change should do better with their money that they will never use even their kids, kids, kids, etc. He is just in search for money and power. That’s what greed does to people to their humanity… in search of power and nothing else. People with endless wealth don’t care much about anyone else but themselves. If an average Joe can give a bulk or two on a tight budget to a homeless person without thinking twice on what they did than, a billionaire should not care less on a few “pennies” to give out. It’s sad that money and power changes peoples ideals so quickly when once’s they thought about helping another person of need.

  29. Adriana Adnan

    April 16, 2022 at 9:39 am

The thing is if you really want to implement free speech, it doesn’t just take buying twitter, it is not a coincidence that major media companies, major movie companies and major social media companies and big tech are all in far left woke states, like LA or silicon valley . It is not a coincidence. So in order to really achieve middle centrist free speech, influencial companies and media need to spread out not just concentrated on the most leftist woke’est states

  30. Martin

    April 16, 2022 at 10:35 am

I am not completely confident that Musk is a free speech advocate. For a lot of people “free speech” has become a banner cry for those the want to be able to say whatever they want no matter how putrid or hateful, and that is not what free speech is about. Over the last few years Musk seems to have become fairly entitled and privileged in his attitude and the way he expresses himself. I think this is just a way for him to get what he wants. I don’t mind too much as Twitter is a cesspit, so there is a good chance he would just ruin it. Twitter is not an engineering project, something Musk is supremely good at succeeding at, it is a completely different beast and I really doubt Musk could bring anything to Twitter except turning it into more of a mess and make it more dysfunctional.

Musk cares so much about the future of civilization that he would invest 43 billion on the civilization’s bathroom wall. Twitter isn’t a defacto public square, otrehr social medias like facebook, youtube far surpass the users logged in each day. This is just narcissism couched as human service.

Facebook and Zuckerberg is bigger evil to free speech than Twitter in my opinion. Facebook is infested with bots, grooming audience to buy ads, full of scammers, cause of mental health issues to name a few. US govt should censor/regulate them.

The offer to join Gab is better. The problem is not just Twitter. It is Google, You Tube and Metaverse (FB, WhatsApp). Google can still cancel you, change history and censor free speech on the internet.

If I was Elon my business model would be Starlink (replaces the internet and solves the Google, You Tube and FB problem) and then take over Gab who already have an infrastructure with their own servers, a non-advertising model (so you are not controlled by corporate or politicians) etc.

Gab could be world class with a smaller investment ($2-5 billion) and build that out.

I would then do an IPO for Starlink. That would be a winning combination. That puts total communication, the Town Square and Speakers Corner back in the hands of the people.

    TWITTER POT FARMER SONG $$
I got out my pipe stuffed it with pot
You better believe it held a whole lot.
I whipped out a lighter thumbed up a flame
Sucked down that smoke which comforts my brain.

    I tried alcohol smoked cigarettes
They did nothing but give me regrets.
My mom had arthritis could not walk around
I rolled her a joint she danced on the ground.

I thought I was losing my lovemaking knack
After I smoked some to me it came back.
Soon I decided prices were high
I searched for some ground I wouldn’t have to buy.

I bargained for seeds from smokers all around
Got in my truck and drove out of town.
I walked through the woods where wild birds nest
Found me the meadow I thought was the best.

I dug up the ground sowed all my seeds
Said a small prayer for strong, healthy weeds.
I watered at night with a five-gallon pail
Mosquitoes went hungry for I wore a veil.

Seven months went by; I thought I would die
Till the Halloween moon was high in the sky.
At night I went out, in a camouflage suit
Used my corn knife to chop down the loot.

I hung it up to dry where it couldn’t be found.
Came back and got it, when it had turned brown.
I trimmed off the buds, stuffed them in bags
Called all my friends and passed out free drags.

In less than a week my crop was gone
I flew to St. Thomas with a love hungry blonde!!

🤖Definitely NO to selling Twitter back, to the next Elon Musk. 👥 The first Elon Musk had 10%. He has sold Twitter to himself 4x times already. Each time his control is – .2%. 🙄 Don’t let Elon Musk gather more money illegally, he just uses it to commit more ‘stock market fraud.’ 🛍 Elon Musk has an ‘alternate data set’ for the entire USA, starting in 2013.🛒Everything regarding Elon Musk is a counterfeit.🪙My Directive: is that Elon Musk, must make a statement, in every court appearance, “that in respect to the Elon Musk public personage, he is a counterfeit and forgery.” 🎠🧾
