You don’t pay the prostitute to stay, you pay the prostitute so she/it (twitter) will leave when you are done f-ing around. Elon may have to pony up 1B for this fling. Maybe he can call up Pres Biden and he’ll pony up some money to pay off another prostitute (like he did for Hunter in Russia).

Obviously doing a hostile take-over attempt sorta exempts Twitter completly from Musk’s demands. They were not interested in being taken over. They did not and still do not have any requirement to hand over any information to Musk until the deal closes. Musk however has a requirement to buy the company at the agreed price.

Good for Tesla and SpaceX but bad for the world. The left isn’t capable of checking their own bias these days. Its almost religious and a lot of us dont prescribe to that religion or set of beliefs. Its the same approach as the Catholic church had in the 1500s to truth and reality. I was hoping Musk would set it right and lies/hate on both sides would be regulated, but everything in between would hopefully have some solid discourse.

*If* Musk were playing 5 dimensional chess, then the whole point of Twitter was to make an excuse for cashing out a large amount of his overpriced Tesla stock without looking like he was profiteering. The billion $ penalty he pays for the privilege is just a 5% transaction fee. It also mutes down any accusation that he wasn’t serious because telephone number money (with area code) sounds like a big number.

This is *if* Musk were playing 5 dimensional chess. Something that would require him to keep a fixed thought in his head for more than 5 minutes. Your call.

  53. jxhensley

LMAO, assuming that Musk actually cares about bots at all, anyone can see why he doesn’t believe Twitter’s numbers. It’s because more spam bots follow HIM than anyone else on Twitter. They follow him because he attracts gullible people who make good marks. Just do a YouTube search for “Elon Musk” and then filter for live videos. Musk is a pied piper and con artists know opportunity when they see it.

Just the interest off a fraction of his wealth could pay his army of Attorneys- no problem there. He could have anticipated the drop in TESLA stock, NPT. Did he have a grudge to settle with TWITTER or one of its boardmembers…There’s potentially no one he could not Payoff or RUIN. My bet, the true extent of a near flawless strategy is yet to be revealed!

Elon is a pain in the ass of the planet, and a megalomaniac. He has now in addition made half of the world waste hours talking about something that he never intended to do in the first place. Glad the influence Twitter has on Humanity is not yet in the hands of a single Oligarch, who can then use it for his personal agendas. Till now he has not changed the life of a single poor starving child or even the common working class human. he has only done things with and for the wealthy
