    The only products this guy actually releases on time (ish) are the ones that come with a subscription model. So yeah, everything in this video is BS.

    The whole thing was for fundraising. He wants government money. Make no mistake. And they should give it to him.

      Yea 100%. NASA wants to use his rockets for the Artemis mission to the Moon, but before they cut another check, they wanna actually see this thing in action. And if the rockets do well when they actually do send folks back to the Moon in 2025 or so, he hopes to score the contracts for Mars too.

      February 11, 2022 at 6:22 pm

      @Matthew Viramontes SLS is further along so that can be used to build the lunar gateway immediately. Once Starship comes transition or keep both options going. Increase NASA budget its time.

    Hey Cnet, why do you always publicize Musk’s delusional fever dreams and never cover all the controversies and times his projects have gone down the drain?

    Seem pretty biased covering to me.

      @Horizon
       @Horizon
       @Horizon

      vegas so far , loved the underground tunnels, infact, they have asked the boring company to extend it
      Which is exactly what they are doing.

      The roadster, semi, cybertruck etc , are all coming
      Th only thing holding them back is production issues.
      Tesla has extremely high demand, which is what is holding them back.
      That’s why elon musk is investing heavily on creating more giga factories as quick as possible.
      To meet demand.

      The solar roof has problems as well, I heard it’s more difficult to install, because of complex wires and all.
      But the problem can be solved , and will likely be solved in the future, since they are still working on it.
      If the problem was impossible to solve , they would have sold the company long ago.

      the hyperloop, elon never stated he would create the hyperloop himself, with his own money.
      Even if he did , that would have never worked out.
      They would have went bankrupt before achieving their goal.
      If you ask me , it’s not a “failure”, it’s a smart business move to abandon an idea that is likely gonna result in failure
      Especially since it requires ridiculous amount of money.

      – tesla almost went bankrupt, SpaceX almost went bankrupt, do it makes perfect sense that something this huge , would have definitely sent a private company bankrupt.

      And as for the falcon heavy, who needs it? They have starship.
      NASA is actually pretty convinced starship will work.
      Which is why they have gave SpaceX contract to make it a reality.
      So , when it’s done , it will be significantly better than falcon heavy.
      And will change everything.

      You seem to be one of those people always trying everything to make this man look evil
      Bringing up his failures, and what not .
      But even if he is a failure, a lot of successful people are known for failures.
      They have failed before becoming successful
      And they have disappointed their loved ones in the past.

      @ʇᴉɥɔ uᴉʍ 1. The Vegas Loop is an absolute joke. The loop does absolutely nothing to alleviate traffic congestion. During the last CES, all the Tesla taxis got stuck in the loop with minimal passenger traffic. Why spend all this money to build something less efficient than a bus? An underground subway or simple bus network would be way more cost-effective from a passenger to infrastructure cost ratio. The loop just looks cool because it has RGB lighting and Teslas as taxis.

      2. The solar roof project was a scam from the get-go. The prototype houses he showed in his solar roof demo never actually worked. Why hype something up if you can’t even get a basic prototype working?

      3. The hyperloop just like the Vegas Loop seems like they are ill-conceived ideas. If you performed any simple physics calculations, you would understand how impractical it would be to properly construct a long tube that would need to withstand a substantial pressure gradient over a long distance.

      4. The Falcon heavy is a way better idea than Starship. Doesn’t Starship seem too ambitious for where current rocket technology is at? Why not try to incrementally work your way towards achieving a Starship design? Such as first trying to land astronauts on the Moon or Mars. At the moment, Starship looks like a flying grain silo and will likely take many years before being able to safely transport astronauts. The fact that Elon thinks he’s going to send astronauts to the moon in a year on Starship tells me they don’t know what they’re in for.

      I don’t think Elon is evil but disingenuous. Because of his “ideas”, the world views him as some tech Jesus. A lot of people don’t like him because he is constantly spewing half-baked ideas and profiting from it. Tesla’s stock is primarily so high because of the hype behind Elon’s ideas.

    This is inevitable! Us as a species have been desiring a finality for the beginning of space discovery in new technologies and other environmental benefits! There’s so much growing to do especially with other world lifeforms. We’re hopefully going to unify with ourselves and prepare for the fantastic future with the other beings.

    To be clearrrrr about the prototypes that didn’t make it very far.. they weren’t supposed to get very far and they were fully expected to crash. They anticipate this kind of stuff and collect a ton of data (IE. how much more thrust would they need, is it enough fuel, was the take-off as expected etc)

  23. Keith White

    February 11, 2022 at 10:43 pm

    What’s needed is a fuel that lasts much longer .

    Clown show. The further humans get from planet Earth the faster their bodies will decay. Your body is designed to operate on Earth’s physical plane. If they put you on Mars you would be dead in less than 1 month due to differences in your body’s resonating fields. It’s like trying to drive a car on the ocean. You need a completely different body for a completely different planet. I thought these “scientists” were smarter than this. Are we still trusting the science of the people that claim there are more than 2 genders? 🤣

  29. William Hugh Murray, CISSP

    In 1986 I was on a program in Paris sandwiched in between presentations by Sen. Harrison Schmitt and Captain Eugene Cernan, the last two men to walk on the moon. Gene was already complaining that there were no plans to return and militated for moon missions until his death in 2017. SpaceX can do what governments cannot, i.e., take risk.
