I had heard that coffee changes the PH level in the bloodstream and one of the effects of that is to cause that gastric reflex. Does it have anything to do with PH or is that wrong?

I appreciate the question about how quickly food poisoning can happen. I was brushed off once by a doctor after I went to the ER w/pain vomitting etc and never exp food poisoning before, had eaten something a couple hours earlier and was almost laughed out of the ER by the doctor telling me I didn’t know what I was talking about, that I was being ridiculous to think food poisoning would happen that fast, that it generally doesn’t show for a couple of days. @@

I have 3 questions: WHY DO ABSOLUTELY NO GASTROENTEROLOGISTS HAVE ANY APPRECIATION FOR WHAT ANESTHESIOLOGISTS DO FOR THEIR PATIENTS? AND, that their patients are some of the most complicated patients in the hospital who actually might NOT survive their “it’s only 5 minutes” procedure? AND, that the gastroenterologist may be able to have a 3-minute turnover time but the anesthesiologist needs to wait for the current patient to regain consciousness, relinquish their care to the PACU nurse, then interview the next patient? I hate GI.

But first, Doc, it’s not Dreschler – it’s Drescher. And she has a blue Twitter checkmark, which means it’s actually actress and cancer survivor/activist Fran Drescher (“The Nanny”).
