That’s ignorant. A robot isn’t a human and teaching one to dance, wont make it more emotional, like she’s implying. Robots are and will always be non-emotional devices. Teaching one to dance, won’t teach it to be a better care giver. That’s done in programing, not by dancing. She’s delusional. Why would anyone want a robot caregiver anyway?

Why don’t we take the money & investment in building these robots and INVEST & SUPPORT HUMAN BEINGs to be care givers, teachers, & builders with GOOD PAYING JOB$ with REASONABLE Family-Friendly working hours, then I think we’d have LESS NEED for these inhuman, non-intuitive robotic workers.
We have never had MORE PEOPLE on this planet & we have NEVER HAD ISSUES like we do today. The conversation of “need/necessity” is run by people making 1100% (Amazon) more than the average working employee- THAT IS UNHEARD OF IN HUMAN HISTORY & that is at the FOUNDATION of THIS CONVERSATION around “SCARCITY of RESOURCES”.
Great on you for teaching robots to dance, but when humanity can’t survive because their resources are polluted & sucked for AI/Technology, when the air/water/land is polluted for AI/Technology, when the cost of living is beyond an average person’s mean$ for food, clothing, shelter, then I do NOT think ANYONE will be caring about how “graciously” the robotic animals BIG TECH CREATED TO REPLACE HUMAN RESOURCES are, I just do not.😢

This innovation could inspire new styles and forms of dance, leading to collaborations between human dancers and machines. In education and therapy, dancing robots might help teach rhythm or assist individuals with physical and cognitive challenges through guided movement. Culturally, they could preserve and share traditional dances from around the world, serving as both archivists and ambassadors. However, these advances also raise important questions about creativity, the authenticity of expression, and the uncanny valley effect—where movements that are almost, but not quite human, feel unsettling. Overall, dancing robots would open up exciting possibilities while challenging us to rethink the boundaries of art, emotion, and technology.
