That controller looks weak…like a overpriced pre-build PC.

Was hoping it was a track pad like on the Stream controller

It looks like a track pad similar to the Steam controller or the TurboTouch360 controllers from the 90’s. I really don’t want to be dealing with that either.

Too much gimmicky stuff. Just get an Xbox or PS5 controller for PC

I’ve been using the concept of a game server since the launch of ninth GEN consoles because I could never get my hands on one never going back to a console

    They forgot the dpad.

I have always wanted a force feedback kind of thing on the thumb sticks. Forced feedback and adjustable shoulder button tension would be amazing. It would destroy battery life and probably need to be plugged in.

force and haptic tactile feedback for every button would be great

    • Your brain is my rent-free home, marinade in it.

      January 3, 2023 at 4:54 pm

Haptic feedback isn’t terribly battery intensive unless it’s constantly activated

I’d say there is a good reason why you haven’t seen some of those features before. Having touch sensor under the shoulder buttons will cause you to constantly activate them on accident. It’s basically the DS4/Dualsense touchpad, but worse, because it’s placed on top of frequently used buttons. I also fail to see what the point of a fingerprint sensor on a game controller is. And the scrollwheels might have some uses, but they are a bit redundant and placed at a seemingly weird/uncomfortable position.

The design is both good and bad and thank God it would not be a final product. I found the NYX server to be a banger cause I can play anyway with one PC which is useful for many things besides gaming even creative work.

that controller has nothing on the current xbox elite series 2 controller.
grip doesn’t look comfortable and grippy. analog sticks are positioned differently. dpad doesn’t look that great. only two paddle switches that you can’t swap out. cannot swap out sticks or dpad face. unclear about the ports, and whether you can charge the controller while it is inside the case. the scroll wheels look interesting but are too wide… should keep the center area clear and add an extra port for charging on a dock or stand or some other use because it looks like they occupy too much space.

I may be in the minority but I would actually really like to own that controller. I don’t care about the RGB at all but I love the controls on the deck and this would compliment that really well.

The fingerprint scanner is dumb and unwanted, but everything else on the controller is cool and could add to the usability. Please swap the placement of the round touch pad and the left thumb stick to be more like the XBOX controller, though.
Release glasses-free 3D monitors for gaming already!!! This tech should have been released years ago.
