the fifth is my favorite book i felt like the movie left out too much, the third is my favorite movie though

    • GreenCat

      December 24, 2022 at 2:08 am

The movie did leave out too much for the 5th:

      Quidditch matches
Harry’s interview with Rita in Quibler
Many of the detentions with Umbridge
      Actually sacking of Hagrid
      And so much more

    • GreenCat

      December 24, 2022 at 2:08 am

But 5th is still my favorite movie

    • urmumsedits

      December 24, 2022 at 2:12 am

@GreenCat yes i hate how they left out quidditch, especially ron playing quidditch, rita skeeter, the relationship with cho was pretty different, and a lot of fred and george moments but the movie is good

My favorite book and movie. This was the first of the movies I saw after reading the books (I didn’t read them as a kid for reasons), so it holds a special place in my heart (and is also very good).

I also tend to lean towards the later entries in the film series, due to them getting darker after each film. I believe the 4th is where you start to catch glimpses of where the tone of the movies start to shift in a darker direction, as well as witnessing a murder first hand in one of the films. The 5th plays even darker into those tones as you go down the rabbit hole. Then my all time favorite, the 6th film, I believe to be one of the darkest of the series as it ends on a terrible note of death and despair.

I also enjoy very much watching the children grow up into adults, who are able to handle the darker aspects of the things happening to them.
