Apple users think this is cool, meanwhile we android users sitting on this for more than a decade ????

Very creative… maybe this method has been done before but I’ve never seen it and would have never thought of it myself. Yes, it’s very clunky but opens the opportunity for some cool aesthetics. Hopefully, Apple doesn’t require Shortcuts to open every time.

LOL@ referring to Android theming as “ultra customization”. Anyone who spends as much time as was shown in this video setting up just 7 icons is WAY more into customizing than the typical Android user. I doubt many Android users would bother doing anything if it was as clunky and slow as it is on iOS.

Why would you want to change the apps icons?
Because the apps open way too fast for me and I like to slow it down a notch or two. ????

If you turn on “reduce motion” the apps opens up a lot quicker.

  15. Lihao Yeong

    September 25, 2020 at 9:48 pm

Instead of moving each and every app to the App Library one by one, you could add all the apps that you want to move into a folder, tap and hold the folder to trigger Jiggle Mode, and tap ‘Remove Folder” and then “Remove from Home Screen”.

People really need to grow up it’s 2020 and folks still on this childish stuff. People like what they like and it’s nothing wrong with it. I had android for years. Decided to switch to iOS because I love the simplicity of it and fell in love with their ecosystem. ????????‍♀️

  31. Joey G

If you go to settings, accessibility, motion and then toggle reduce motion on, when you open your apps, it won’t show the shortcuts for that brief second! Like so people can see!!!

????????‍♂️ Have you ever looked at your friends Android phone, then looked at your jailbroken iPhone and thought I wonder if this dummy knows that Apple had widgets when Andy Rubin worked at Apple and Android was still just a ripped-off thought in his disturbed head? ????????

    • Fiery Nachos

      September 26, 2020 at 8:14 pm

Bruh. A phone is a phone. Us apple users are perfectly aware that android exists we know about their wide range of phones and customizability, but we choose to stay with apple. We are just exited because apple is more customizable now (yes the icon thing has been around for a long time but the widgets is new to us). The reason that we didn’t switch to android is because we prefer apples other features over its customizeability. It’s a preference thing, believe it or not but not everybody likes the same things as you.

Thanks for the help with this. One issue though appears to be that if you use a shortcut for email or WhatsApp the new icon does not alert you to new messages by indicating you have a number of unread messages.

    • Navin 9

      September 26, 2020 at 10:53 pm

Because a shortcut is a shortcut. Not the same as using the app directly.
