You can make the same argument why there is under representation of women in prison. Is that discrimination?

You can’t compare apples and oranges. This is a logical fallacy.

@Lorde Darius it’s the same logic he used.

I really am struggling to understand the logic here. Surely a VC’s main primary objective is to invest in ideas with the potential to provide great returns. Assuming this is the case, and I don’t consider this assumption contentious in the slightest, why would one assume that VC’s (all of them, mind you) have some kind of prejudice against woman or by race for that matter? Correlation does not equal causation. It’s not like there aren’t extremely powerful prominent women in tech after all. Just look at some of the big-name CEOs: Lisa Su (AMD), Ginni Rometty (IBM), Sheryl Sandberg (Facebook), Marissa Mayer (Yahoo), Melanie Perkins (Canva), Ursula Burns (Xerox)… Honestly, these initiatives do more harm than good because they attempt to reverse a prejudice that simply doesn’t exist.

Yeah. Its one thing to encourage girls to enter into the tech field who might of thought that there was no opportunity for them there, but this idea that investors and customers care about the sex of the founders/engineers doesnt make sense to me.

@doItBig , obviously you are in postural denial regarding systemic racism/ sexism, being part of the problem by promoting a propaganda of individual responsibility.

@Jizzle Cizzle and you still didnt answer my question

    • Jizzle Cizzle

      July 2, 2022 at 8:39 pm

@doItBig , obviously you being a black dude does not change anything I pointed out, your denial of systemic racism/ sexism.

    • doItBig

      July 2, 2022 at 10:30 pm

@Jizzle Cizzle Why are you claiming I said things that I never said either too? Im not denying that systemic discrimination does not exist in any form.

Im saying you do not know what you’re talking about. Simple as that.

You are raising a talking point about discrimination that is not relevant in the ruthless business of making money. The idea that you think business is about holding hands and singing kumbaya is comedy to me. Anyone who wants it enough will get it. Especially in North America.

      July 3, 2022 at 5:34 am

@doItBig , obviously it profoundly pathetic that you are in denial of the fact I merely pointed out the substance of your statements.

It’s even worse that you dishonestly extrapolate mine after claiming I did so to you by pretending, deliriously, I idealize the work environment.

To top it all off, you fall back once again on your denialism there’s a systemic problem, the correction of which cannot be on the victims, the individuals at the bottom.

      July 3, 2022 at 3:29 pm

@Jizzle Cizzle Me: “Im not denying that systemic discrimination does not exist in any form.”

You: “To top it all off, you fall back once again on your denialism there’s a systemic problem”

There you have it folks. I’m done talking with you T.I.

I realize I screwed up by talking to someone who actually thinks the conversation of “rights” talk belongs in capitalist free-enterprise.

      July 3, 2022 at 4:14 pm

@doItBig , of cours you’re digging your heels in your postural denial regarding what I pointed out.

    • Bill A

      July 4, 2022 at 12:45 am

@doItBig I wouldn’t be surprised if Jizzle is a bot given how unnatural it’s language and cohesion of ideas are.

No studies prove that adding women or ppl of color improves performance. Just racist terms to purposely remove whites from seats or positions of power

A few years back, I proposed a woman candidate to my team of under-35 men engineers, and was surprised with the biased statement they made to reject this person. Yes, men in technology can be highly discriminating.

Think about it. Why are they always blaming ‘bro culture’. It’s because with most things, it’s males that invent them and males that take initiative to make something of it. And these females just want to leech and complain rather than get off their asses.

Look…. when a company is full of guys an we all want to have fun while we work… DON’T RUIN the party!!

You’ll never see a headline saying: “Combating education feminist culture” or “Combating OnlyFans feminist culture”.
Men already have a hard time emotionally, they’ll now have a hard time in the professional sector because apparently it’s sexist for men to like technology more than women do.
Men suicide rate is over 3 times higher than women in Western countries, this constant vilifying of men in Western culture is disgusting.

I love and all-for the idea of equitable distribution and non-discrimination of any sort. But honestly, this video is complete BS, no logical argument other than the victim card. This is harming the cause than supporting it!
