Agreed. When did they decide to not have integrity? Someone in the company got a kickback. Not representative of the entire company. Bad apples.

An advertisement is for a specific brand of product. This TED talk is about the advantages of a certain type of product! There is no reason that there couldn’t be more than one brand of animal free collagan. She never mentioned the name of her company or the brand name of the product they make.

@@someguy2135 I did watch the video, and this “talk” is pure marketing. Yeast-based collagen in 2025 is not an innovation, it’s been around since Clinton was still president. Other companies have been producing it for years, but if you want to find hers jump to 3:26

Why not? There are many good reasons, including the effect of animal agriculture on our environment. She mentioned the Amazon rain forest. Are you aware of the role of animal agriculture in the massive burning of the Amazon? Animal agriculture is the number one cause of deforestation!

    • @BonnieShadow33

      March 4, 2025 at 5:46 pm

The whole point of the talk was to stop using animal collagen because of how terrible it is for the animals & the rain forest. This is about a vegan alternative to animal collagen, which is still just as effective.

    • @someguy2135

      March 4, 2025 at 12:58 pm

There are so many reasons to boycott animal products! I’m glad you watched the video. Are you familiar with the Amazon rainforest problem that she mentioned? Are you aware of the role that animal agriculture plays in that problem? The soy that is grown there might have been part of the feed that helped to generate the pig skin you were eating.

    • @norbertcara4808

      March 4, 2025 at 1:43 pm

@someguy2135  neah, it was homegrown. Last I checked, my uncle does not have a rainforest. Nor does Romania have any rainforests nearby. I do know of said issue, which btw is not only happening in there but also in other places. I do not argue that at some point humanity has to switch to something else as a food source, however I will argue to high heavens about the fact that we have the resources nor the technology to switch. Boiling this topic down to simple terms is down right narrow minded. Here you have a story of, besides increase in population, of also human greed and wealth disparity. The Amazon is being destroyed, in large part as you have a poor population in need of essential things being exploited by very wealthy cultures

    • @someguy2135

    • @norbertcara4808

      March 4, 2025 at 2:21 pm

@someguy2135  herein lies the issue. For starters, I have been speaking from my specific viewpoint, as are all people, always, whenever they are stating something.
As for you being worried about others reading my statements, that is strictly a them problem. Instead of silencing people just because they have different opinions, we should normalize the fact that different people have different opinions stemming from different circumstances. People need to not take everything they hear or see or smell at face value. A filter must be applied. People need to use their feelings less and their brain more.

I live in the United States of America where we have freedom of speech and I endorse that policy. • @someguy2135

Those who do not eat meat live longer and healthier lives. We do not have to resort to eating animals anymore. In fact with the current and growing population producing food using animal agriculture is not sustainable and has a terrible impact on our environment.

    • @reedofwater

      March 4, 2025 at 6:26 pm

@ Says your acres of soybeans that ruin the environment all the same. Vegetarians suffer from all sorts of intestinal issues and malnutrition and live worse and shorter lives. Raising livestock is perfectly sustainable and leave a smaller footprint in the environment than all the assorted fruits and vegetables you have to eat for the same benefit.

The technology she referred to is called Precision Fermentation, and has huge promise for a more sustainable future. PF is currently used to produce animal free insulin and rennet for cheese production. I have tried animal free dairy milk made using this process, and it was delicious!

You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health.
Lower stress, reduce obesity, get enough sleep and more exercise are key to a healthy life.
Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world.
Fast food and sugary drinks including fruit juices are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity.
Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly.
Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices.
Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly.
Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer.
Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game.
A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility.

Go vegan for the animals. Go vegan for the planet. Go vegan and be healthier and happier.
A lower risk of heart disease and cancer for you and a better planet for everyone, human and animals.
Eating healthy is not a diet it is a healthy life style.
Go out and look around. The vast majority of people you see are obese or al least over weight.
People do not need to be fat shamed BUT being over weight is not healthy and leads to a host of illnesses.
When you look around you can see all the unhealthy people without taking a blood test or a fitness test
“NORMAL” for the average American is “UNHEALTHY” The health of society is in decline.
