Katie Paris quit her career in Washington, DC, to figure out how to make politics feel less like strangers shouting at each other and more like friends looking out for each other. In this practical talk, she reveals why conversations between real people can have a bigger impact on elections than anything millions of campaign dollars can buy. Politics give women and weak men the ick because women and weak men feel that the personal is the political.

The personal IS political to emotionally incontinent people.

@SteeleHand ah of course, you are the arbiter of right and wrong and everyone who disagrees with you is “emotional”

@jasons6229do you have children? If not your shallow interpretation will finally deepen when you do.

@cheeselovingtreeYou can check their comment history. They’re just a repugnant person. There’s no point engaging with them. That only gives the perception that what they have to say has validity. People like them don’t deserve your time.

@jasons6229so no you don’t have children. Children have everything to do with everything….. the future they will live in is being decided every day in the world of politics.

But, a government school standout like you would be blind to that reality. Cause your government school teacher taught you to be so.

Forgive your mother. She knew not what she was doing to you.

♻🎟 I _get;_ indigestion from guilt or age, struggling to remember mood, and effort of social encounters, but politics is someone’s job. Elect someone competent … don’t drag the Kraken up with the catch. :[]

I’ve turned it out. I got my ballot in the mail yesterday and filled it out. Lick the envelope, signed it and mailed it. The choice was obvious. And mail in voting should be protected at all costs.

Allow me to condense. Because IT SUCKS.
Greed driven, power driven, a manual of errors, and a litany of deceit. It stands in line right up there with religion and money as the third in a trio of human created destroyers.

Politics is fighting over who should tell us what to do. It’s about deciding who steals out money. It’s naturally ick. Nobody wants to be part of a cesspool.
