These bikes are fine for those with high enough income. How about reviewing ebikes for the 99% that can’t drop $2,000 to $5,000.

$2K really isn’t much for a brand new, assembled ebike with a warranty. Much, much cheaper than owning a car.

1st 2 need fenders on the tires. I rode a bike without once, and I was covered in mud.

Bike #1 250 watt motor = if you are not already fit, traveling very short distances or live in an area with very flat terrain, this bike is far too underpowered. A 250 watt motor is not made for most adults, middle aged people or if there is the slightest amount of head wind.
Bike #2. Again 250 watt motor far to little power. Anyone can get some vinyl or paint and provide the ‘look’ this bike does. The custom fit, that is just a gimmick. Watching the bike being printed, again just another gimmick. Far too overpriced for the return.
Bike #3. $6600? So a bike for the wealthy. Thanks for sharing! There are plenty of more choices for the wealthy. Rickshaws come to mind.
These are just my opinions, what are yours?

$6000 really isn’t that expensive for a good, 500W+, fully equipped ebike with a warranty. I built my own for $2K, but I spent nearly a hundred hours getting everything right (motor, battery, hardwired lights, fenders, storage, studded tires, phone mount, power tuning, etc). It really depends on how much your time is worth.

So all the Europeans riding their e-bikes with 250-watt motors (illegal to go higher w/o insurance, licensing, etc.) either go short distances or live in flat terrains?! Nothing could be further from the truth. I, for example, am in my 60s and of average fitness for my age have ridden over 18,000 miles in the last three years on my 250-watt e-bike. I am not unique. I am one of many AND I definitely don’t live in a flat terrain place.

@M B If what you state is indeed the case….. Then a 250 watt motor in your country is different than mine. A hill in your country is different than mine. The definition of flat terrain is different in my country. Maybe we just have more gravity over here? Maybe you always have a tail wind? Ya know because 250 watt motor and all……

@moderateminneapolita Also, proprietary everything, so they’re a nightmare to maintain. VanMoof is the Apple of ebikes. Beautiful, but underperforming, expensive, and hard to repair.

Great review and they look like great bikes but none of these are carried by a local bike shop. I like my Trek and it’s support from the dealer I bought it from.

Great if going door to door with a safe lockup in-between, however if you are chaining this outside in a major town or city it will be stolen immediately.

These are priced too high for any average rider. The technology makes it extremely difficult to repair and costly. Nice, but you can get so much more for your dollar, just keeping it simple.

I don’t know where you got your prices from but you’re wrong. For example, you said Urtopia prices started at $2,200. Their website however shows the price of Utopia Carbon One at €3.299,00 which is over $3,000!

It’s about time someone else added an inclination sensor like this Bulls Iconic Evo has.
Stromer ST2S uses a gyroscope for alarm and inclination sensing. This is important because while everyone else is tooting their horn for torque, cadence, and speed sensing determining motor output, that is not relevant; you do not want the same output going up hill, down hill, or on the flats. Adding inclination sensing makes for a more responsive, and longer range, ride. Stromer has had this for at least 6 years…I bought my ST2S in January 2017, meaning it was made in 2016.
And, I love my 2018 Bulls LaCuba EVO Lite Wave with 250w Brose center-drive, Gates Carbon Belt, and Shimano 8-speed IGH. Zero problems or maintenance.
These are car replacements folks…you don’t use a $499~$1000 E-bike to replace your car.
