Okay, but who started calling that company “ay-SOOS”? They used to call themselves “AY-suss.”

      April 13, 2023 at 9:19 am

It’s always been ay-soos, most people just pronounced it incorrectly, lots still do

    I don’t know… 😅

Phones this powerful should have features like dex mode.

100%. It’s disappointing to see none of the reviews of this phone even touch on external display support let alone a desktop mode.

“Work and play” would have been a good marketing angle. Missed opportunity.

Did it not have one? I legitimately don’t know because nobody covers it and it’s a feature I love

    • Nick B

      April 13, 2023 at 4:34 pm

@TheTheShizzler iPhone has nothing of the sort. iPad OS now has Stage Manager which is in the vein of DeX, but still limited on a number of fronts.

@Nick B who mentioned iPhones? 🙄 always one person who has to bring them up

    • Nick B

      April 14, 2023 at 11:42 am

@OW I misread the original comment as “iPhones” rather than “phones.” My bad.

Omitted addressing the fact that ASUS has a poor history of obtaining VoLTE certification from carriers.

yep, u can buy 2 redmagic 8 pro with that price

Thank you for not focusing on camera. I’m sick and tired of all phone review just give half the video on camera.

  9. Jeremy Tanudtanud

    April 13, 2023 at 9:57 am

I wish there was more gaming phones like the red magic 8 pro with the under the display front facing camera even if the camera quality is mediocre for people that don’t care about camera quality but prefers to play games on there phone that they can put in there pocket with diablo mode like the red magic 8 pro to unlock diablo mode to overclock the cpu and gpu to its highest clock speeds for maximum performance when gaming for long gaming sessions. Also have the option for ray tracing for games as well on gaming phones since there are already phones with high refresh rates and have ray tracing with phones with high refresh with the option to turn it on and off in settings on the phone. I wanna be able to play games with ray tracing like my sony xperia 1 iv with the 21:9 aspect ratio with the 4k 120hz oled display. I have 120 hz always enabled on my sony phone since I really love the 21:9 aspect ratio with the 4k display. Bright memory has ray tracing on pc and I have bright memory for android. I just wish there was a way to choose 4k as the resolution with ray tracing on my sony phone when playing games such as bright memory, ark: survival evolved and newer mobile games like call of duty war zone when it becomes available for mobile. There is already a nintendo switch and ps vita emulator for android. I have crysis remastered for my nintendo switch and on pc but with can it run crysis mode in every graphics setting mode on pc in native 4k with hdr and ray tracing, but I’m still looking for the nintendo switch rom for crysis remastered for android. I also play ark:survival evolved on pc and I also have it on my sony phone.

I scrolled through the video and didn’t find the specs
I miss when youtubers just put the specs and price written at the beginning of the video for easy access

This phone is more powerful than my PS5?

I think a true PC gamer wouldn’t game on a phone (at least not very much).
I think they would rather game on devices like the Steam Deck or something similar to the Steam Deck.
