Apple gets the last laugh on being forced to put usbc in phones so now they will put in a bunch of crap in spite to show how bad it can get

this seems better than the lolly pop. the pressure sensitivity isn’t massively used for note taking and quick annotations in businesses

The fact that she puts up with the magic mouse despite its charging design shows that apple can take their time with updating things because people just complain and won’t really do anything about it.

I’ve been an Apple user since 6 years and one thing I’ve come to realise is that after MFI program, the “official Apple accessories” are the biggest cash cow and scam of Apple and EU can’t do anything about this especially the damn Apple pencil. It’s so much expensive, I’ve beginning to think to switch to Google or Samsung. The only thing that’s stopping me is FaceTime(cause the quality is seriously great), Apple TV(cause it’s a seriously good product) and the security of Apple.

I heard a song from Fall Out Boy on the radio 📻 If you rented a convertible and grabbed your girlfriends, ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’ would make a fun sing-along iPhone style video.
As far as the pencil goes… Imagine drawing with the help of AI and the multitudes of images your squiggly drawings could create!

I guess without pressure sensitivity it’s more a pen than a pencil and if you don’t draw it’s a non-issue.

I think all first time Apple users are very happy users. What’s not to like? The problem comes when they realise just how often they need to upgrade/update, and just how expensive this becomes. It’s like if FIFA 23 was your first football game, you’d be very, very happy indeed. What’s not to like? But if you’d spent £50 upgrading from FIFA 22 after only a year, you’d probably be pissed off, because there’s hardly any difference inreal terms between iterations. But that’s how tech works now—it’s all a perpetual transitionary period of improvement. The downside of this is of course, although things really are continously improving … it means you’re never happy! But anyone thinking that things were better in th 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, or even 10’s, with regards tech, is just plain ridiculous.

Apple is so pathetic with such things, the pressure sensitivity and double tap gestures shouldn’t cost more now since they have been in the market for sometime now. It’s just that they want to justify the much expensive pencil.

Nice move Apple, frustrate your consumer base with this USB-C pencil so they will just return it and you upsell them to the more expensive pencil.

ha! i had to buy a new lighting cable today, as my old one stopped working –
thought about buying a charger for usb-c and use the cable that came with my SE3 – but i still have other tech that use the old usb ports too, plus i still have an old 2015 macbook, yes the last one with usb ports and still working great, but unfortunately i won’t be able to update to the new macOS
so I’m starting to plan how all my tech, not just apple products, will need to switch over to usb-c and make the transition as smooth as possible….

Love the tech updates from Bridget, her brand of fabulous humour & sarcasm is second to none. Whoever designed the upside down Apple mouse charger was either an idiot or hated Apple mouse users

A company that does not have a good heart to benefit customers. Just to creates hurdles, inconveniences and nuances every time they launched something. Just to ask customers either pay less for even less, or pay more for not that more!

  43. Temporal Soliton

It is awkward but not that challenging. For spaces we interchange USB c and lightning, we just keep a dongle attached the cable end using a tether. The “cozy” one we bought on Amazon works well but I’m sure there are others. Most are just changing cables so we don’t bother with expensive dongles where cheap ones will do in those places.

So much whining. We all have lightning, usc and wireless charges. Get over it.
