Maybe if Apple had actually make it usable by opening it up to HDMI and DP input, instead of locking it down. It’s as if they had locked down their monitors for any other device than Apple. Rich people who wanna watch their 4K Blu-Ray collection from their preferred source would buy the Pro, since it has some of the best image quality in a headset. But no, Apple is so desperate to keep their walled garden control they’d rather throw billions of dollars down the drain. Seems like they ironically focus on long term business instead of short term stock value. The only logical reason.
Btw, why am I writing this? No one actually gives a s**t. Oh well, at least someone got to read this and say: “Duh. Of Course. U didnt have to write this long essay”

You have to have no social skills if you’ve got to put that on your face and walk around town. Get a life and live in the real world instead.

Maybe if we didn’t have to take out another mortgage whenever we wanna buy their new cool toy, it wouldn’t be an issue for them.

Yea, because the thing is too expensive and has features that are not needed and loose their cool factor after a while. Along with the software is not that great. There are no physical controls for games. Yea it was DOA.

Controlling games would happen through a separate device. Just like pretty much anything else, right?
You use a controller with your … Xbox, or PS5, or switch. You use either a controller or mouse and keyboard on PC games.
Why would you expect that to be different for these?
PSVR and PSVR2 both worked fine, and both used separate controllers. Same thing for EVERY other headset, right? Oculus, Quest and all the others.

People weren’t excited to spend $4,000 on an iPad they wear on their face? What? The single best feature was the ability to … watch movies which you can also do on competitors that cost 90% less.
It’s an interesting step in this direction. Certainly not as innovative as Google Glass, but they took an existing idea and went in their own direction with it. An interesting design. An interesting solve for battery weight. It’s certainly a premium Apple device which is also on brand for them.

Yes, I agree with @zero11010 to me it’s more fun for watching movies. You can literally tap faster on a physical keyboard or a laptop that’s more portable than this because with this you can’t really be walking around with something as heavy as that on your face to say that you’re doing work if it’s like a holographic design where you can project everything in the room without putting something on your face and everyone can see the projection that would be mind blowing.
