Did someone order a new Kindle design? How about five Kindle designs?

Amazon showed off the newest version of Kindle, including a pocket-worthy 6-in model with 16GB of storage and up to six weeks of battery life, starting at $149.

The new $199 Kindle Paperwhite is lighter and thinner with 12 weeks of battery life and its largest display yet.

The $289.99 Kindle Colorsoft features “paper-like color” without normal tablet glare through its nitride LEDs and micro-deflectors.

All of the new models now have front-flush displays and if you’re feeling fancy you can pay to upgrade to the signature version of each with an aluminum back.

CNET Executive Editor David Carnoy is here to breakdown what you need to know about these new Kindles.

After getting my Z Fold 8, I have not touched my Kindle and probably will never again.

I do hate that Amazon has decided to completely walk away from the cheaper ereader space rather than actually compete

They walked away from the high end space too. Offering no new features that users want and stripping all of the good features away!

Wish they added warm light to the basic kindle even if on the aluminum version cause am one of many still prefer the smaller size basic kindle !

Yeah, I definitely prefer a smaller e-reader, and I also like using the warm light feature during nightly reading, what a shame

I feel this. I love the smaller basic kindle but I read in the shower, pools, and outside in Washington Rain. I keep hoping for a waterproof basic or a Paperwhite mini 🥲

you are counting the plastic/aluminum variants as different models when you guys say there’s 5 of them?

But what else is new? Sounds boring.

There’s just no way that an aluminum back costs any amount more than $10

Kindle is so far behind like Apple. Now people prefer pocket e-readers that can magnetize to their phones. Xteink, Boox, and other Chinese companies have started this, while Kindle is still stuck with expensive devices and nothing new. What a joke! And you call the basic one “pocket”? It is definitely not. Who wears pants with pockets that big all the time? 😂 Ridiculous!

      I wasn’t aware that Apple made an e-ink e-reader.

      1. Those are gimmicky and way too small and 2. Apple doesn’t even make those lol

I missed the word “like”; what I meant is that Kindle is like Apple, behind a lot of technology.@Jay151

    Overpriced for just an e-reader

$150-190 and they still can’t simply add a damn warm light to the basic models. Unbelievable. Never buying a kindle again. Every other company in the industry respects their customers more than Amazon does.

They had the Kindle Oasis with the buttons built in but they discontinued that and added the buttons to a case that you pay a premium for? Won’t get a penny out of me 😂

300 for a kindle, right 😂 I’ll keep use my old Oasis.

I literally just want a basic size kindle with warm lighting.

No warm light, and no waterproofing? I’ll just buy a like-new or factory sealed 11th gen paperwhite off ebay…

These are insane prices! I’d be interested to see how much they’re going to discount them on prime days (sadly, probably not much).
