Not seeing the point of them tbh I owned three including the OnePlus Open I currently own now. I switch back and forth between that and my iPhone, I’m never like “damn I really wish I had a slightly bigger screen that’s awkward to hold but smaller than the smallest tablet.” When I’m on my iPhone. This will probably be my last foldable.

how do you expect GPT 3.5 to give you relevant information when it’s 2 years old. you can literally use GPT 4 or gemini, with real time info. this video is practically useless. of course the outdated model is going to provide outdated information

I used one for a couple of months, but I got tired of having to use two hands to open it every time I got a call or to check messages, and since in my line of work I do it very often, the foldable phone became a burden more than anything.
@bloodhoug82
April 2, 2024 at 1:36 pm
Maybe you had a Flip? With the Fold you can also use it in folded mode no?
@VEGANSAM
April 2, 2024 at 9:41 pm
@@bloodhoug82 You can do that with the ZFlip too!
@PincoPallino-zh8wm
April 3, 2024 at 10:46 am
@@bloodhoug82 It was a foldable flip, yes. I got it because i knew it would be smaller and fit better in my pockets. But then I realized that despite the “flip” nickname, it doesn’t really flip like the old 90s phone did, it requires two hands to do so. The regular foldable is too big for me. I am a NP and I am almost always on-call, so I wanted something small and easy to grab with one hand to read/reply msg and such. For now, a regular mid-size phone is still the best choice for me.
@bloodhoug82
April 3, 2024 at 12:52 pm
@@PincoPallino-zh8wm never had an issue with a normal 6.x inch phone fitting into my pocket, so don’t get at all what benefit a flip should bring. Totally understand how annoying it must be to open it every time.
A fold at least I get, cause you don’t have to open it if you don’t want to.

Foldable phones are trash. Quality needs to go way up. Screens fail as little as six months to a year.

April 2, 2024 at 2:56 pm
Flip 2 user and fan. I’m old enough to remember when it was the in thing to have the smallest phone like the lady bug (Siemens C56). The thing I love the most is not having a big balky phone in my pocket that sticks out or makes it uncomfortable to sit which means it gets left out / possibly left behind (87% to 98% of the time my phone is in my pocket). Flips have as big or possibly bigger screen than some phones which is nice when you need a big screen. My text messages, selfies / usies and alerts / notifications are read without opening the phone.
The only bad thing is that I’m coming to the end of my 4 years of updates and now my phone is starting to do wonky things. Once it gets really bad than a factory reset will be that last straw before getting an updated version.

was an early adopter of it from the Samsung fold to the 3rd gen. great experience with reading on a bigger screen and mobile games but ultimately a novelty. switched back to a slab to mount on my motorcycle when riding. not worth $2k ever couple of years. trust, they’re not built to last. moving parts and wear. its an eventuality

i hate them, until there is some sci-fi glass out of star trek that can bend reliably and not have to be laminated outwards i won’t like the fact that i am basically touching plastic that can scuff and warp more easily when using the larger screen inside, also why do all foldables have laughably small batteries, some of the foldable makers put smaller batteries in their flagship foldable phone compared to their flagship slab non-folding phone
