Companies are trying so hard to force hype for AI. it’s really fatiguing and annoying

I know I am exceedingly tired of hearing about AI.

Yes, they need to find balance where it fades into the background. Smart glasses are a step in the right direction. I wouldn’t want to wear a damn necklace, however,..

I’m blind. I’m not really interested in the necklace, lol, but I’m very interested in smart glasses. They’ve been a real game changer for people like me– The Meta Ray-Bans are super popular in the blind/visually impaired community. AI, in general, has changed everything for people like me, but I understand how you feel. I’m hoping we can find a way to maximize the benefits, while minimizing risks and consumer-fatigue..

Forget a pendant it’s a non starter. I have an Apple Watch, oura ring and Ray Ban meta. All are current releases and all up to date software and firmware. I would be happy if they confirmed each other. For example the watch and the ring NEVER are close to each other in sleep tracking.

If you wear glasses with cameras in areas where there are criminals you could get beat up or worse.

Wow! Can anyone imagine having such terrible sleep patterns that you actually need two trackers just to monitor the awful sleep?

I’m not blind so I don’t need glasses to tell me what I’m looking at… Will be great for the visually impaired.

No, the Apple device is perfect. Your ears are broken.

If these devices will record everything, you won’t even be able to have a candid, politically incorrect conversation with anyone “off the record”. There will be push-back.

I’m blind, and Apple won me over seven years ago because of their dedication to making EVERYTHING they create accessible to people like me (even the Vision Pro has features for blind people, lol), but other companies like Google and Meta are catching up. I’m really considering getting a pair of the Google XR glasses, and I’m thinking about vibe coding my own AI agent to carry out stuff for me without needing to see it. Apple has a lot of catching up to do if they want to keep my money, as well as stay the “gold standard” when it comes to accessible Tech for disabled people. 🤞 I want to want you, Apple. You converted me from Android when I lost my vision, don’t mess this up, lol.

I’m hoping Apple won’t do what Google did at its I/O event. I don’t think Apple will take the same approach, and honestly, I’m getting tired of all these AI models.
