Actually it’s not just with black people. Western talents are really paid higher in most cases than other nationalities.

@Carla Jenkins why does it always have to be in reference to black people? You make it seem like other races don’t deserve the same level of respect and justice you guys demand.

@Dexter it’s more than just racism, it will get to a point where all of these issues will be properly addressed. And regardless if it’s going to be now or in the future, we can all agree to achieve things peacefully for each and everyone. We don’t really have to be against anyone to push for our own ideals. Everyone has their own individual priorities and requirements. Equality has no double standard, it’s all in or nothing.

as a black woman, it’s time for these companies to feel the absence of the black community. Just bounce don’t do any content AT ALL on their platforms. Build our own, it’s time.

I agree. However, when I see it happen to white people, like social workers or other occupations, none will write a story about it, or even bring it up. Like I said, I agree, but simply turning the table doesn’t work either. Liberal media would never tell an equal story.

First: wtf is Sydney McRay? Never heard of her. Obviously she’s not that large of an influencer.
Second: anecdotes are not evidence of systemic racism. In fact, they’re not evidence of anything. You are taking a specific isolated incident and extrapolating that into a baseless generalization about an entire industry. You need hard, statistical data. How was it determined that she was underpaid compared to white influencers? What influences was she compared against? Is she comparing herself to influencers with the same size following and brand recognition? Or are we comparing to Gigi Hadid? Also, it could be that, for whatever reason, she just got screwed over.
