brazil such a sad country, should be as rich and powerful as the US.

But yet Brazil is doing a much better job than the USA in holding corrupt former presidents and other corrupt individuals to account for their actions and protecting their democracy.

Oh no! Elon is going to lose some subscribers in the dictatorship. So who loses, the people of Venezuala. This is how dictatorships work. The US government is only a year behind Brazil and 3 months behind the UK.

Doesn’t matter what crooked laws there are in any country. The fight for free speech is real. Countries want to silence any opposition and solely decide what is misinformation when they give misinformation themselves. I’m with musk! It’s up to the citizens to decide and research what news they encounter and not up to government to allow the public to only see and hear what they want them to.

Social media is shining light into the dankest corners of our supposed democracies. Best thing that ever happened. Sure, there are crazies, there’s disinformation, but there’s also truth in there, finally. That’s why governments are desperate to shut it all down. We are getting to see how we’ve been robbed blind all of these years. Freedom of speech is the preventative and the cure. If it is abused, one can sue through the courts. Shutting down our only unfiltered access to the truth is complete idiocy.

Musk is NOT a free speech absolutist. He is a liar and a Fascist. He doesn’t like when anyone disagrees with him!! He likes and promotes the worst of society. ALL public forums must be regulated. The fact that the governments didn’t do it when the internet was invented, just like broadcast TV, was a huge mistake. And what they regulate needs to be transparent and for the public good.

    Hear me!

The judge Alexandre De Morais has ordered the accounts to be closed because the users related to those accounts were under investigation.
They are mostly politicians linked to anti democratic acts and widespread misinformation.
X has proven to be a very useful tool in maximizing the reach of political propaganda and it’s crucial for the investigations that their profiles are properly shut down.

    It’s simple!

People should be able to decide for themselves what they read, look at, or say in a post. For the most part that is how it works. Here in America and most countries people can read or hear what someone has to say and decide for themselves through research what is true or not true. This misinformation protection movement, trying to protect people from it, what a bunch of BS. Just like you can tell me to go kick rocks because you don’t agree with what I have to say or vise versa, no matter what some people will say my opinion is misinformation or agree or decide to just not read what I have to say.
People trying to tell you what to think or believe, well it’s up to you to decide, not some judge or politician. If I post something saying the sky is green, most people don’t see it that way. Should I be banned or have my post taken down because I am color blind?? Or should it be left up for people to see.
The Biden administration had told the world the southern border was secure lying to everyone for three and a half years. All one had to do was watch video of thousands of people walking across that border without any one stopping them and know what liars the Democrats are and still it’s wide open. People should be able to read the truth as well as posts that are totally false. We can’t know what good is if there is no bad.
Why did the Biden Administration before Elon bought Twitter make Twitter take posts down that did not agree with the liars on the left. So they could control people and scare people into getting the vaccination (which never was a vaccination by definition). They still won’t admit where it came from when we all knew where it came from when it happened. Can the left define what the word woman is yet?? It’s all about power and control. Use your brain, don’t depend on some government or social media to find the truth. Or if you want to be told what to think and believe, that is an option as well. Good luck with that one.

what people are not realizing is, there have been many civilisations before ours and just like them this one is going to collapse just because of the human psychosis and every homo sapiens seeking to be number one. Who define what we should say or not. actions speak louder than words remember? as long as it doesn’t get physicals it should be ok.
This generation being so sensitive to anything is exactly what is going to lead us to a globale war. We all need to be stronger than our emotions if we want this civilisation to last longer.

  80. @-Hilltophaven-

    September 2, 2024 at 1:34 pm

To use this kind of force against freedom of speech, just shows who the true mis-disinformation comes from. Only those who push a narrative with no acceptance of another opinion, show themselves for dictators of a Partisan ideology.
If people don’t stand for themselves, instead of cowing to these people, there will be no freedoms left – only Marxism.

lot of uninformed people wanting to give opinions with out knowledge on the subject.

At the beginning of the recent government in Brazil, Elon had a Starlink government contract canceled due to fraudulent/irregular hiring with the previous government.
After that, he began to challenge the current government, not obeying Brazilian legislation, which requires foreign companies to have a legal representative in Brazil.
The current case is due to Judge Alexandre de Moraes requesting the suspension of accounts on Twitter, which are being investigated for spreading lies and anti-democratic messages.
Musk did not comply with the court order, he removed the country’s legal representative, therefore under Brazilian law Twitter cannot operate.

Furthermore, I want to know why Elon fulfilled similar orders in Turkey and India, and not in Brazil?

And if it were Tik Tok like it happened in the United States, would this bunch of morons be defending the Chinese?

With Elon Musk at the helm, Twitter will soon go the way of MySpace.
