I totally agree with you mate… The remnants with the recent deep plunge due to geopolitical tension between Russia and Ukraine caused a major havoc to the entire crypto, future and stock market.. I don’t know how far will $BTC go down but it really cause havoc to the entire market.. I was able to grasp the knowledge of trading crypto assets early enough, but i was still limited due to my lack of technical understanding of how to analyse the digital market, all that changed when i encountered Harvey milton services., i started with 3.1 BTC and i have accumulated over 18 BTC in less than Eight weeks, , although i have been into numerous services but Mr harvey’s stands out with experience and making profits his top priority…

Bitcoin going up is good for the entire market. My largest holding is also xrp, and I actually root for bitcoin to do well, because history shows xrp lags behind it.

took a class in college to learn how to play pool. I didn’t learn a thing – everyone else already knew how so they were just there to play pool, not to learn. Nobody even wanted to play with me. 😥 I wish they had YouTube University back then! This video would have been very helpful.

Speaking as a lover of snooker, the English cousin/uncle of American pool, one thing I’ve always noticed in great pool players is that – almost without exception – their cue action is absolutely horrendous. They move on every shot, the cue is never going through straight because they’re taking two or three very rushed and erratic feathers before hitting the white, and the bridge hand is always that unreliable loop, for whatever reason. That said, their knowledge of side spin (English) is fantastic, and they can think in nice patterns. I think it speaks volumes that some of the best snooker players have tried pool (Ronnie O’Sullivan, Jimmy White, Steve Davis, Alex Higgins) and found their feet very quickly, but great pool players like Alex Pagulayan and Corey Deuel and Steve Mizerak have given snooker a go, but not managed to get any real results. (Alex very nearly qualified for the pro tour in 2014 though – he is supremely talented!). Then again, if pool players started to cue up like snooker players, they’d be less erratic, and less exciting to watch, so…

Loved this video. Personally, the best improvement to my own pool game was learning how to play snooker for a tournament. Much bigger table with smaller pockets, had to be very accurate to sink anything. If you’re used to a pool table, a snooker table looks like a golf course.

    • Tony Robles

      February 26, 2022 at 7:48 am

      Hi Cyssane,

I used to practice on a Snooker table for 30 minutes a day in my 20’s as part of my practice routine.

After my practice, the 9ft table looked like a 5ft table and the shots were WAAAAAY EASIER to pocket because the Snooker table is 12′ x 6′. Great way to practice!

You can’t do all of these finesse shots on a barroom table, because of the larger cue ball. Also it hits the rail differently than the object balls.

    • Tony Robles

      February 28, 2022 at 8:58 am

      Hi Barry,

      Hope you liked the video!

I agree that different types of equipment play a huge role in game. I used to play on bar tables growing up with what I called the “Softball Cue Ball” because of how big it was compared to the other balls.

I finally learned how to compensate with the bigger cue ball but it took a long time to master and made me realize how much of a major adjustment I needed to make with some of the techniques I discuss on this video.

      Hi @So So!

Would love to do something like that in this series if possible.

I do plan an adding some content to my channel about 9-Ball as well as other games at some point.

Thanks so much for your feedback and I hope that all is well in the UK! 👍 🇬🇧

8 ball pool is one of the best games to play with friends (if they also know how to play). I wish I could afford a pool table…

@Tony Robles To clarify I don’t mean the phone game if that’s what you thought I meant hahah, I meant 8 ball on an actual pool table 🙂

I mostly play with friends at bars.

And I’ll definitely subscribe to your channel!

  60. Minor Voices

    February 28, 2022 at 3:03 pm

Nice insight! But you forget to mention that there’s a throw effect to the target ball when you hit the cue ball with a side spin. The direction of the target ball is slightly different compare to a shot without side spin. Using left spin on the cue ball will throw the target ball a little bit more to the right than without adding side spin, and vice versa.

    • Tony Robles

      March 1, 2022 at 6:12 am

      Hi Minor Voices,

This is true! It also depends on how clean/dirty the balls are. The dirtier they are the more it’ll throw and vice-versa.

Thanks so much for your input and have a great day! 👍 😊 🎱

  64. William McDowell

    February 28, 2022 at 7:17 pm

Pro tip: You can use spin to alter the tangent line by using “throw” to make the object ball. This grants greater range for cue ball control.

    • Tony Robles

      March 1, 2022 at 6:23 am

      Hi William,

Spin will definitely “Throw” the Object Ball depending on how clean or dirty they are and spin will definitely change the angle coming off the rail.

As for the tangent line, the only way to really modify the 90 degree angle is by cheating the pocket with the Object Ball. Spin itself doesn’t really change the line. It’s a common misconception.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment and have a fantastic day! 👍 😊 🎱

    • William McDowell

      March 1, 2022 at 1:38 pm

@Tony Robles Using spin you can alter the point at which you strike the object ball. Then you “Throw” the object ball into the pocket. While the cue ball comes off the object ball on a new tangent line. I agree you cannot alter a tangent line… but you can create a new tangent line using throw.

  67. Shorty Dancer

    February 28, 2022 at 11:01 pm

Isnt the disclaimer at 3:06 wrong? You get a stop shot if the cue ball is sliding at contact, so you would normally hit below center with enough speed to get the cue ball to lose backspin to sliding when it hits the object ball.

    • Tony Robles

      March 1, 2022 at 6:06 am

      Hi Shorty Dancer,

The disclaimer says hit the Object Ball dead center (in other words dead straight).

Sorry for any confusion. Hope you liked the video and have a fantastic day!
      👍 😊 🎱

Interesting he put carom shots so early in the list. As an intermediate player, I find it much easier and common to make bank shots, for instance, than make carom shots

I always knew it’s not easy but this hard to master?

  76. Miscellaneous

    March 2, 2022 at 11:11 pm

what was demonstrated for the carom shot is actually a ‘billiard’.

a combo is when you strike the cue ball into the 1st object ball into the 2nd object ball to make the 2nd ball.
a billiard is when you strike the cue ball off of the 1st object ball into the 2nd object ball to make the 2nd ball.
a carom is when you strike the cue ball into the 1st object ball off of the 2nd object ball to make the 1st ball.
