Im intrigued. When i play on my switch or rog ally my hands start to go numb and my neck starts to hurt after an hour or so. Being able to rest my arms comfortably and not tilt my head down would be a game changer. I wish these weren’t so pricey though. Seems like its a bit overpriced considering i can get a meta 2 for cheaper and a meta 3 for a similar cost.

1080P still too low rez. needs to be at least 2k at that FOV to be very usable for productivity

Combine with Facebook /ray ban meta and also actively generate synthetic images for people using prescription glasses?

All the reviews from real users are saying Air 2 and 2 Pro are even worse than the original Air

I don’t think they test long term reliability as well. I’ve bought products from them and they work well but either they get a version that has no bugs or errors or they are paid to stay silent on all the bad

Sorta, I have both the 2 and the 1st gen. The added comfort, and the increased brightness is a Game Changer compared to the first. The first product was near unusable when outside without the light blocker, the display now is a lot brighter. And if you have the pro, even more so, since with a click of a button, you can dim the surrounding area almost instantaneously. That alone makes this a more usable product for me in more situations. The downgrade comes with the actual display. And again, this is more of a your mileage may vary sort of thing. Like I said earlier, the display is brighter, it’s also more vibrant with added contrast. The issue is the size of the display is smaller than before. Now this only matters if you’re not using the beam accessory because the beam already shrinks the size of the display in order to enable the smooth follow and anchoring features. When using this, the difference in screen size between the first product and this one is negligible. If you are not using the beam, than yes, there is a noticeable difference in size. Overall, I’m happy with the 2nd gen, and don’t recommend and upgrade, but if you are buying one for the first time, I recommend the Air 2 pro

@@NicholasMarcelinI have read that it’s the same over all size 120 in. So even though the gen 2 have physical smaller displays but I think only by a few hairs. Shouldn’t it not make much difference because I thought they both simulated a 120 in. display.

2:58 I think you meant an HDMI to USB-C cable instead since the Xbox in this case is your source.
Also you could hook this up directly to any HDMI source if you want. You just need the right cable that will hopefully supply you audio as well. It’s tricky but it’s doable tho.

EVERY single review for glasses like this is the same. “I used them for a few hours and it’s a lot of fun for gaming and also you can do some other stuff.”
This is a $600 toy set up. Would you spend your own money on $450 for the glasses plus $120 for the beam accessory plus taxes on a $570 purchase?
Would you like to be the VERY FIRST person to actually try to use the glasses for work on an 8 hour day and talk about the productivity usefulness? No? You’re just going to tell me it’s a fun way to play a Switch game …. Cool, man.
Sure would be nice if you spend a couple weeks with them and used these as your only TV and monitor solution.

Having the options for the grid and screen locked location features seem like the best of both worlds. I want something I can use while walking around or doing other tasks and a full screen is too large. Being able to shrink the size or place the screen in a corner of the view forward is great. Having the ability to connect without an added device, cables and expense is whats needed.

Nice review, yah, had the same feeling. It’s wonderful when it works, but too many connection lines and additional accessories needed in order to have it work, and some don’t come with the box, have to research and buy. At the end, after trying for 2 weeks, returned the gaggle. May try again in the future when it becomes wireless, now it’s just too much to be fun.

The problem that can’t be addressed if these become popular is how much of a mark they make you. If you’re selling them so people can use them in public, being distracted is exactly what gets you robbed. They’ll all end up on ebay or fb marketplace with “missing cable”. And NO they don’t look exactly like sunglasses. You can tell from a mile away what these are
