@corkhead0  what I said is the truth. I believe if she really loved herself she’d lose the weight and look so much better and be HEALTHIER. She is literally reducing her lifespan and you’re applauding her. So who’s really trolling?

I hate my voice when I hear it in a recording, but there was one time that I thought I was listening to myself in the first few seconds of the recording, and immediately my brain went into _”cringe mode”,_ but when I realised it was actually someone else I immediately stopped hating the voice.

Or maybe they also tell me about the reason that a 2D-picture is not able to fully capture a moment in the 3D-world with all the feelings and sensations that were involved.” I almost didn’t open this ted talk but I’m so glad I did. I really enjoy THIS🥹
I used to lose my confidence when it comes to taking photos/selfies so I never took them, and I didn’t think it’s important. But when I have more chances to do it, I realize that I don’t look that bad in the picture and think that this is the real me. Then, I start to feel better with taking photos more.

I have spent so much of my life hating myself for being fat, but this talk brought me back to reality. At the end of my life, it’s not going to matter if I was fat or thin. 1) Take a horrible picture of yourself on purpose.
Reminds me of the first chapter of the book “Juggling for the Complete Klutz” where you toss the bean bag into the air and **make NO attempt to catch it** it didn’t hurt anything, did it?

“Those of us that are socialized as women“
You lost all credibility for this presentation with your identity nonsense.

Oh! And then she tells us her sexuality – as if we needed or wanted to know! These people are insane! They waive their sexuality or lack of it or whatever it is in our faces and then get upset when we explain we have an interest in hearing it in the first place.

And he gets better! “Body image educator“ – so another words someone who tells people it’s OK to be unhealthy and stuff their face whenever they get a chance. You shouldn’t feel bad about how you treat your body because “all bodies are beautiful“, right?

Definitely a good message at the end. I enjoyed the remarks about pets and children but no need to sprinkle with the other nonsense. Can’t recommend.
