How can a stranger teach you about yourself? It seems like a gift to me.
@Dimitris_Half
July 10, 2024 at 6:07 pm
@angryhairpeice They don’t teach you anything. You basically talk, and talk and pick up on the inconsistencies of your arguments and what you are trying to hide, and ask you clever questions.
And you later reflect on them on your own, and reach new conclusions

What’s the difference between a therapist and a client?

Only if the therapist is competent at their job, otherwise the clients problems will perpetuate

I don’t feel like I need therapy so I won’t either spend tons of money on it which would make me more sad than happy afterwards OR take precious spaces for therapy from our public health system that other people really need way more than me.
Just go out into the world, into nature, feel the sunshine and the wind and really enjoy this and all the other little things in life. If you can’t do that, then you might need a therapy indeed. As long as you can, you’ll be fine. :-)

Same ! All I need is MONEY and going to nature, hiking 🥾, traveling, eating good food, dancing 💃, singing 🎶, go out with my family 🤍🤍🤍 The list are long . . .

Good at what? Grifting off of vulnerable people?
@Dimitris_Half
July 10, 2024 at 6:09 pm
@@angryhairpeice the same way doctors “grift” on the sick, the same way a mechanic “grifts” on a broken car. I don’t see the point of your objection
@angryhairpeice
July 10, 2024 at 6:14 pm
@@Dimitris_Half No. If doctors asked things like “How does having cancer make you feel?” maybe, but they actually do things to cure the cancer. What do therapists actually do?
@angryhairpeice
July 10, 2024 at 6:15 pm
@@Dimitris_Half The mechanic fixes the car. They don’t ask the car “How does not running make you feel?”
@Dimitris_Half
July 10, 2024 at 6:21 pm
@angryhairpeice hahahahaha, that was a good one
But all jokes aside, that’s the point. A mechanic asks about the problems of your car to get an overview. The doctor asks about your injury or illness to get a first idea, and the therapist asks you about your inner turmoil. That’s literally their job

therapy is the capitalistic replacement for the need of authentic social relationships. Capitalism is growing like a cancer killing everything we had and were happy with.
