I think the airlines are afraid of air taxis taking over short flights and 5G will enable autonomous air taxis. Short flights is where airlines make the most amount of money

The crucial question: are we safe until all get fixed?

Nope, faa has to test Alien UFOs for interferences

Yes, it never was a safety issue. Europe uses these frequencies and there aren’t planes falling out of the sky and crashing in Europe anywhere

Sounds like airlines need to invest in their planes technology they have had millions handed to them from the government they spent it on bonuses for management and stock buybacks not everyday workers or infrastructure

This is stupid. As shown, the buffer zone between 3.9ghz & 4.2ghz is very small. Nations like here in the UK, we have a bigger buffer zone between the bands used for different technologies. The FCC has failed to do what was needed. It’s the airlines & FCC that need to fix this. The mobile network operators only bought what was on offer.

Correct!
There is no risk to airlines, otherwise there would be planes crashing all over Europe

The Airlines been saying that kind if stuff for 20+ years.
I think the Airlines can upgrade their electrics with all that Bail-Out money they received in 2020.

The biggest scam in the history of the cellular phone Industry! All in the name of cell phone company profits and stockholder dividends! Certain perfectly good phones no longer work because they aren’t 5G compliant, and so you are forced to buy more expense phones and trash your perfectly good cell phones! 🤬 Cell phone company’s suck!

Nope. The problem is (a) there’s simply not enough spectrum to keep older 3G (and in some cases 2G) services running alongside 5G & 4G LTE, and (b) older technologies are an inefficient use of spectrum. They can’t keep up with demand for 5G or even 4G LTE unless older signals are shut off.

The Airlines are lazy jerks. If they wanted to they could have determined if there was a problem or not themselves.
BUT THEY DID NOT WANT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY TO DO THE TESTS.
Screw them

_This is such a stupid thing to cover_ , there has never been any risk from these frequencies. European carriers use these frequencies all the time around airports and no planes are crashing or falling out of the sky in Europe.
This is not an issue, this is just stupid

Does this new 5G differ from the other cell phone frequencies that have been coming out? If so, how is this different? Can this new 5G be manipulated, in particularly, having the ability to be raised to higher frequencies, which could be manipulated to cause harm to people, birds, and animals? There seems to be something different about this 5G, which at first heating seems to be just like the other roll outs we’ve had, leaving people to assume, 5G is simply a good thing to provide for our increased need for more and faster bandwidth. So, what is the concern about 5G, being any different than the 4G, causing harm? Is 5G different in that it has a range of frequencies that can be raised in ways that can be used to manipulate or control people and animals? We have seen hundreds of birds fall from the sky at once, in different places, and different fish beached and dead on the shores. What has been causing this? What are the pros and cons of 5G? If there are legitimate safety concerns, how can we protect against ourselves against any harmful effects?

The fault is with some altimeters; those devices need to be fixed to be compliant rather than having their lax input filtering.

how about drones? do they operate on a radio frequency that would be interefered by 5G?

These arguments are so stupid. I think airports and airplanes deserve 5G more now than ever as we need better connectivity.

I call BS on not being able to replace a piece of avionics eq in a minimum amount of time…they do it all the time on every type of commercial aircraft…

What the aircraft business seems to bury their head in the sand. Just like the Boeing MAX scandal. They have had enough time to deal with it as the spectrum sell off was a long time ago. Aircraft companies need to jump to it. Again it shows a lack of leadership in certain aircraft companies just like the dreamliner mess at NASA. The problem is certain companies have the government in their pockets.

Does it really matter? The answer is yes, it can be dangerous. Does it really worth fixing the system? Absolutely not 😌
