“New possibilities for storytelling are emerging faster than at any other time in history,” says film producer Mark Grimmer. With an immersive approach to art exhibitions, he shares several multidisciplinary projects — including a kaleidoscopic exhibit of David Bowie’s world-changing career and a luminous, interactive show that brings visitors inside the paintings of David Hockney — and shows what’s possible when ideas collide. People could be saving the planet from ourselves, instead everyone is working on entertainment. It’s a tragedy.

You can use storytelling to engage people into making the world a better place. Not everyone thinks like you, everyone has different concerns. But you won’t do it because you expect others to do it for you.

ppl are just so f++ing dumb that they think their assumptions or weird interpretations into other ppl´s words are Facts. Lol… They do that ALL the f++ing time… it´s so tiring and annoying!
Then they go on in their lives, telling themselves + others that ppl are like that when in fact it´s only their guesses. Total distorted reality…

The best immersive storytelling is going on in computer games. Mass Effect… Dragon Age… The Last of Us… The Witcher.. These all let the reader/player be part of the story creatively and not just experience someone else’s story.

We yearn for the holodecks. Projectors and VR headsets might be fine for now simply because any progress is good progress, but more thorough immersion is desired. To completely blur the lines between reality and the matrix. As long as it’s ad free… which is probably an impossible ask 🤣
