*Be the person who breaks the cycle. If you were judged, choose understanding. If you were rejected, choose acceptance. If you were shamed, choose compassion. Be the person you needed when you were hurting, not the person who hurt you. Vow to be better than what broke you—to heal instead of becoming bitter so you can act from your heart, not your pain.*

Black men mentioned NOWHERE IN THE ENTIRE PRESENTATION!
It is amazing to me how when it comes to discussions of wealth/poverty for African Americans black men are left out.
This is an old game… until Black women realize that the best vehicle for wealth is via a family where the legacy can be passed down African Americans are doomed to being a permanent underclass.

I’ve that in order to know your rich is to know if you’re poor first. I thought my family was well off, until I learned we were in debt and the house was loaned and that loan was slowly shrinking and has not offset the debt.

My definition of wealth is what I add as opposed to what I need to get by.
A pocket a knife a key a clever brd a pressure cooker a good friend probably should have started with that.

Wealth means nothing to me nor should it mean anything to anyone as money is a made up concept true wealth is having a simple organic life and not how we are told to live!

She has that preacher’s “ugh” at the end of sentences that’s distracting, otherwise what’s she preaching is extremely valuable. I’m autistic so little things like the “ugh” at the end of sentences I just began to focus on. I watched her again to see if I could ignore the “ugh” but it’s impossible for me and upsetting berceuse I know I’m missing a lot of valuable substance in her talk.

It’s her dialect of English not related to being a preacher.

I don’t understand “by pattern” mean, thank you for helping me.

It’s she infers [how much people had] by “pattern keeping” not just pattern. Pattern keeping is one compound phrase or connected phrase idk what the best term for it is but. Basically she means by keeping track of patterns at Christmas time.

So what if the room was nondescript. Your name is hard to pronounce. Perhaps you should have been a little bit more understanding when somebody comes across a name they’re unfamiliar with how to pronounce. So he used some financial jargon that you Didn’t understand And couldn’t be bothered to research before you came to the meeting. Many people of many colours and backgrounds suffer from poverty it’s a shame that you choose to work mostly with black women. Sounds a bit sexist and racist to me. Surely a life free of financial worry is what everybody would wish to achieve and it’s sad to hear you are only offering it to black women. If it were left up to me I’d offer the programme to all those that need it. What you could do for black women particularly those with children is to find ways in which to keep the father in the home and with two incomes they wouldn’t need to be any tax funded or privately funded cash to support a short-term band aid fix to a long term much bigger problem. Still I expect you have a good salary and that’s all that matters hey so that you can retire at 60

No, no, no… being uncomfortable and striving for a better life is better. Biologically and neurologically. Having a guarantied income is the gateway to permanent poverty and lack of personal gratification in personal success. This is literally THE SCIENCE on the matter. Of course we have this speech with a black person… and money. My tribe has guaranteed funding from the US… yet the second anyone gets extra money or wants more stability, THEY FLEE the reservation. Wealth is fleeting. It is only maintained by constant determination to self betterment. We know th is as most familial wealth evaporates after 3 generations. I know this too, as my family actually had wealth in the form of trade and actual gold in reserves, but it is all gone and my family is working upwards from lower middle class or upper poverty. Equity is a curse, equity is a reason to be lazy.

Most highly wealthy people gain from exploitation, not hard work.
Travis R.
October 18, 2023 at 9:57 am
If that were the case, then why does anyone work for anyone if it is only “exploitation” or something in a negative context. Poor business owners can be just as terrible in exploitation. It really doesn’t come down to just “wealthy” people, it comes down to the nature of character and morals of people. If someone is exploiting you… LEAVE. @Tsubasa

Think about the game of Monopoly…..
As long as the “Banker” keeps dishing out the paper money, the game continues.
This is what has been happening for decades, since the Dollar/ Gold standard was removed, but especially since 2008 after which FREE MONEY at ZERO % Interest Rate was dished out to the Banks for them to spend as they saw fit.
The result was a huge increase in DEBT as people and businesses took advantage of the very low interest cheap money.
This went on for about 15 Years.
Companies bought back their shares which inflated their value.
Homebuyers got more bucks to buy their houses.
The “Buy to Lets” bought more and more properties and increased rents.
There was a boom in asset prices…Art paintings by reputable artists rocketted in prices and continue to do so.
Even S/H handbags are selling at rediculous prices.
I suggest looking at Sotheby’s auctions to see the rediculous prices.
The wealthy do not want to hold Cash and instead are looking to where to invest.
Tax evasion and avoidance now a major industry everywhere.
BUT here’s the thing, about the game of Monopoly…..As long as the game continues the losers drop out and the winners get wealthier as they purchase more and more assets with the “FREE” paper money dished out.
The result of course is INFLATION which is kicking in, and which EVERYBODY pays, but especially the losers or the poorest.
Also the MOUNTAIN of DEBT grows by the day….As well as the PRINTED MONEY by the Central Banks, there was also alongside the PRINTED IOUs called Bonds.
So now we see the World awash with DEBT and IOUs.
It is reckoned that the DEBT and IOUs floating about is FAR GREATER than the value of all Stocks and Shares on the planet.
Also it is plain to see that the Wealth has been accumulated by fewer and fewer people and financial houses as well as pension funds etc.
In the USA, it is reckoned that less than 10% of the population own more than half the wealth that exists on the Planet.
The result again is plain to see….The people living in poorest countries are starving by the million.
Palestine today is an example where the people in GAZA are starving whilst the people in Israel are very well off…..Not because of lack of endeavour but because of Wealth distribution through thje process of….
Guess what?….
MONEY MAKING MONEY FROM MONEY AND FROM NOTHING ELSE.
i.e. The MARKET.
Today the MARKET IS GOD and everything will be done to protect it.
That means more MONEY PRINTING to INFINITY,,,and you know what?…the wealthy get wealthier and the poor get poorer.
That’s MONOPOLY FOLKS !!!

“wealth” is only one conversation. Wouldn’t the real point of this talk be what is happiness adn fulfillment be? Seems like she got caught up in the wrong question. although financial wealth makes the real question so much easier to get to.

why do people cheer when she says she set up a program for black women, a racist and sexist program. I do not understand why so many people are racist and sexist. If I set up a program for white men I would be harassed to no end but if its for black women everyone cheers. 🤔
