We bought $650 of used phones. Here’s what arrived.
We bought five used phones, of varying conditions, to see what sort of quality you can get when you don’t splash out on a flagship. Results were…mixed.

Battery life is definitely going to be an issue with buying used phones. It seems as though the batteries are only designed to last two or three years before starting to have issues. It is always a gamble buying used. I think I would rather have a lower tier new phone then a higher tier Yukon.

Top camera angle. Don’t wanna see faces and all unnecessary things. Just focus on the subject.

The best used phones are iPhones, Pixel phones and OnePlus. They are the only ones that are still absolutely smooth to use.
I have the original, launch day OnePlus One. It still works as smoothly as my Pixel 2 XL, which is also a great option.

Samsung actually has improved since 2015. My daily driver, Note 5 is a proven and reliable performer. Also, I think that’s the case for most Android phones of late 2014, at least for flagships. Android has certainly improved a lot in the past years.

I know someone still rocking a Samsung Galaxy S III (released in 2012). I have the SIM card removed from a Moto G (Gen 2) from 2014 and it is used daily as a mini Android tablet.

If the Samsung was described as Grade A, it should’ve included the box.
iPhone was good for Grade B. Moto Grade B looks okay. Samsung S8 looked like a Grade B. iPhone battery replacement I believe is £45. Shame about shut down on Moto. Can you not return?

I honestly don’t believe the capacity percentage on the iPhones. I’ve got the SE with 93% that just shuts itself down unexpectedly, like your iPhone 6. And I’ve got my daily driver, the Xs, with 88%, which shows no perceivable deterioration to when it was new. As a user, what am I supposed to make of that..?

I’ve had similar problems with a Moto phone from that time
It’s a battery issue,
You can fine replacement batteries for a very cheap price though
