you should not. You dont need to upgrade your devices every model. Get the most out of your devices until you cant anymore

Don’t listen to the media or Android fans. I owned the 15 Pro Max and upgraded to the 16 Pro Max and it’s a different phone with a better overall user experience despite looking the same. Bigger screen, better battery life, louder speakers, new ultra wide camera, and the new camera button add up to a big upgrade despite all the negativity on YT. The camera button is great and comes in handy when you least expect it. Went to the Dodgers parade yesterday and used that feature all day. I also own the GS23 Ultra as my business phone and wish it had an Action Button and Camera Button…it’s a user experience Android doesn’t have. Apple was giving a $650 trade in credit so my upgrade was only $500

@@lamar310 yeah the phone is great. I have it. But I would just like to suggest that you dont need to buy a new phone every cycle. It’s not just a waste of money but it’s pretty wasteful and immoral when the batteries are using actual slave labor. And Im not even talking about sweat shops, im talking about legit slavery. So just consider that your 1 year old phone is actually plenty good and try to get through most life out of it that you can because people are *literally* dying to get that phone made just so you can replace it for absolutely no reason.

I’m disappointed this feature isn’t coming to the iPhone 15 Pro. Ironically, I can already achieve the same result by mapping Google Lens to the action button.

It should come to all iPhones that are still officially supported. This doesn’t require a lot of processing power.

    • @DBeitniz

      November 2, 2024 at 12:19 pm

@@t1328It does require A LOT of processing power, also if Apple would add that to all other iPhones people would complain that it’s slow and inefficient, which defeats the whole purpose of that feature.

It looks interesting, but as you pointed out Google Lens has done this stuff for a while and I’ve never really seen people use it, so I suspect this won’t see much use right now. Maybe with time and some updates it will feel more useful?

I’m amused at how Apple users is eating this up. First it’s basically just a web app running Google lens, next it seems like a few more steps because you then have to decide what to do ( use Google lens or Chat GPT )…. Now with circle to search on the Android side you and search anytime, even videos. Keep it up Apple ✌🏾

    • @lamar310

      November 2, 2024 at 5:23 pm

You have it backwards. When a delivery comes to my house that requires taking a pic…the camera button makes the task fast and seamless. Deliveries with an Android phone are slower having to unlock the phone and then access the camera app. There is nothing on Android that can match the Action Button, Camera Button, or Dynamic Island. This is coming from someone who also carries the GS23 Ultra as my business phone…hopefully Samsung will copy those features the same way they copied Airpods. By the way…the iPhone gets the best of both worlds the Camera Button and Google Lens which is another thing Android can’t match

  15. @TellyMan200

wow. apple search > google and chatgpt. looks like search will really change and apple slowly becoming android

  16. @lamar310

    November 2, 2024 at 5:27 pm

The Camera Button, Action Button, and Dynamic Island are all very useful and have ELEVATED the iPhone user experience and there’s nothing on Android to match it. Google Lens is available on the iPhone just like Gemini so Android phones aren’t offering anything exclusive

  18. @ngroy8636

So it is still just sending a picture to Google or ChatGPT for processing. Nothing is done locally and can be done on all old phones— just a software-locked feature.
