I driver for both uber and lyft in nyc and i really hope they dont make it mandatory. I’m a healthy young adult and I dont want or need that vaccine. We are claimed as self employed and not their employees. I appreciate it that they are pushing it so we can get it first but it should not be mandatory. I’m good with my airtight plexiglass , sanitizing and lowering windows

no, what uber did here in ohio is lower the base trip fair from $2.93 to $2.80 also PPE is a joke i been waiting 7 months for a mask. and if a passenger get in my car without a mask and i tell them to get out i dont get paid for the cancelled ride. Uber is just a Joke.

Why doesn’t Uber force their riders, the people who take an Uber, to show/update proof he/she having the vaccine?.. because Uber doesn’t care about the public life, Uber just wants to look good. Not only that but their business will collapse, riders will ditch the system and will rather take the bus.
BTW Uber drivers never received any of this protective gear, like masks, hand sanitizers, lysol sprays, gloves.. none. Uber takes half of their earnings, that’s all they are good for. This PR guy is lying to his teeth.
Ask an Uber driver next time you take an Uber to see how much he/she is getting paid at the end of the trip right when Uber has billed you.
