AI is shaping every aspect of our lives — but only a handful of tech giants have a say in what this technology can do. So what’s going on with world governments? Bilawal Sidhu, host of “The TED AI Show,” sits down with geopolitical expert Ian Bremmer to unpack the UN’s just-released plan for “Governing AI for Humanity,” a report that focuses on the urgent need to guide AI towards helping everyone thrive, rather than just the powerful few. Together, they explore the complexities of AI’s rapid growth on a worldwide scale and take a clear-eyed look at the pivotal decisions facing us in the very near future. (Recorded at The TED AI Show on September 10, 2024 )

As AI is becoming more and more integrated into every aspect of our smart devices, what’s the likelihood of AI replacing apps?

It’s getting dangerous if the economy is getting dependent without a Plan B, because every skilled worker got fired.

I know the ways that AI will be deployed. In all the ways that do not include the one human characteristic that to remain human we cannot neglect. MORALITY. AI should not go forward until morality is built into it’s infrastructure.

The problem is we live in a post modern world where many feel like morality is subjective , it’s difficult when this is the case in people’s minds.

@@FixableHQ Apparently Israel has a lot to do with the development of AI and it’s government has no morality at all.

What iF AI tells us to obey and worship the global industrial elite!!?? AI is still a computer program!…and that means it will say what its programmers tell it to say. It is NOT objective, fair and true by nature. ETERNALLY VIGILANT!!

I’m not sure anybody understands that the real AI deploying in any specific field of activity (in contrary to google chat toys) demands extremely hard preparations and that kind of “careless future” is still far away due to embed hardware’s poor capabilities

Our tech has already exceeded our humanity well before the present. Even without AI. We never got the internet right. It’s out of control. The main vector for this trend of corporations taking over the world. The main vector for the devastation of our connected children. The main vector through which memetic fear and loathing is being pumped into our souls as a tool to control us. Our monkey brains are leading us to a sticky end in the cogs of our machines. Pushing pleasure buttons in a house on fire. And we’re not even really trying to expand our philosophy sufficiently for the task at hand, nor the one ahead. We couldn’t change quickly enough even given the will. Because it’s too easy for those who want to prevent sensible change which would come at their expense, to sabotage such efforts. World leaders? Priorities are defunct. They’ll still be fighting over seashells while it all crumbles. Y2K was maybe the height of human civilization, I think. Humane civilization that is. For all our technological progress. We’re going backwards now as human beings. Social media was the harbinger of our decline. The internet has been the most important single thing in human civilization for years now. And how have we related to it? By just going… “O well. It will work out alright on its own”. And now it’s going to be the interface layer through which AI tech integrates with human civilization… I mean, come on… “It’s only a matter of coordination”. “Only” he says.

It seems to me that we want to build an open source and decentralized global platform that can merge the knowledge and sentiment expressed in public conversations with people around the world into a shared digital representation, becoming a form of collective terrestrial intelligence.

The first thing I plan on saying to such a platform is that I want to unite with people around the world in realizing the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Earth Charter.

As a beginner investor, it’s essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable.
Ruth Ann Tsakonas is my trade analyst, she has guided me to identify key market trends, pinpointed strategic entry points, and provided risk assessments, ensuring my trades decisions align with market dynamics for optimal returns.

I don’t really blame people who panic. Lack of
information can be a big hurdle. I’ve been
making more than $100k passively by just
investing through an advisor, and I don’t have
to do much work. Inflation or no inflation, my
finances remain secure. So I really don’t blame
      people who panic.
