Corporations and big business have wrecked the environment, but disadvantaged communities living in “sacrifice zones” — urban areas heavily polluted and poisoned by industry — are paying the price, says climate justice leader Angela Mahecha Adrar. Explaining why racial and economic justice must be at the center of climate action, she takes us to the frontline communities that are leading the world to clean, innovative and just climate solutions — like Cooperativa Tierra y Libertad, a local farm co-op in Washington that’s disrupting the multibillion-dollar berry business.

The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world’s leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). As it is ‘all’ people who caused this climate crisis, it’ll take another species to solve it. No one human is innocent of causing harm to this planet in some way. If you eat, travel or just live, you’ve added to the problem.

The best thing that ever happened to the human race is global warming on a scale that ended the last ice age. This is a joke. When good ol’ Mother Earth takes another wobble, this lady will be calling creeping glaciers racist.

People who caused the climate crisis gave us electricity and the internet where we can blame them for how bad they were. Terrible people they were indeed.

The greed and social injustice done to humanity by the people who new about this for over 50 years is a modern day genocide. Everyone of them needs to be treated like they treated all the people they have murdered with no remorse.

Well, not everyone rise up when they have enough. Some of them simply leave or wait for someone to rise up. North Korean for example. Many also simply accept the fate and walk down the cliff. That’s why if you gotta do it, don’t do it in a way that rely on those people.

Don’t believe we have a crisis. In the 70’s all the “scientists” were afraid we were going into the next ice age and actually proposed coating the ice in Alaska with carbon black to change the earth’s albedo. You need to look at some actual data.

Why do climate activists never _once_ ever mention all the barium, aluminum and strontium nano-particles which are being spayed into our atmosphere, daily, all over the world?

The majority of man made CO2 production is, and will continue to be, from China and India. Given their determination to expand coal fired power, one has to agree that those creating the CO2 are not going to be reducing it. Climate activists will remain silent on this, as on so many other human rights abuses in China and other countries. Meanwhile, western countries voluntarily reduce CO2 emission, as well as real pollutants, and invent innovative means of carbon sequestration such as through regenerative farming – which is the single most effective and natural way to draw down vast amounts of CO2 and store it in a beneficial form. Meanwhile John Kerry and Leonardo swan about in private jets and yachts.

“Corporations and big business have wrecked the environment.”

Ah yes, how dare they sell products that billions of people wanted to buy. I’m getting really tired of the nonsense-talking climate activists. If you have something positive to contribute, great. Otherwise kindly **** off with your socialist agenda and let the real scientists do their work. We have things like electric vehicles, nuclear energy, advanced landfill management. All thanks to people that put in work instead of complaining and pointing fingers and seeking attention, like you. You’re a sad person. Try getting a job or something.

People being against the fact that technological developments is a crucial actor in the climate change fight is becoming really annoying. Let’s say it one more time: it is IMPOSSIBLE to get there without those technological LEAP in agriculture, energy, AND transport. Wrap your head around it PEOPLE. Even she said Air power is a good idea (technologies you know :P). Otherwise, I appreciate that she elevates the effort of ethnic minorities in the green transition, it is a growing economy based on the value of caring about the impact of your company (when you aren’t faking it).. So it will be a great lever of change for people left behind around the world.
