I would sincerely welcome a radical redesign of the iPhone SE. Why? Because I hold my hands up in horror when I see any current gen SE user taking some sort of mis guided pleasuring in using a design of phone was obsolete in every way since the iPhone X. How Apple has had the nerve to manufacture said phone which are only a heartbeat away in many respects from the iPhone 6 (not 8) is truly galling, only matched by the let me put it politely , the naiveté of Apple users to buy said product.

@ the minis were good, but my favorite size and form factor was the 5S and original SE. Everything since has grown and even if incremental it’s still something I’d like to reverse.

The current SE is really the same design as the iPhone 6, which I bought when it came out, and has had the same screen and faceplate. Then I got the 7, then the SE 2, then the SE 3. So I’ve basically had the same phone for over a DECADE! Looks like this is the year I finally get a new phone. If I wait until the 17, I’ll be 11 years with the same phone 🤯

Any flagship iPhone from 13 onwards would be a massive upgrade for you. I can somewhat relate although it wasn’t an SE model. I had an 8 Plus for four years before I upgraded to my 15 in October 2024 and been loving it ever since, it’s a major world of changes.

Maybe Apple should consider bringing back the Mini models or do something completely different like an SE Mini, that would make sense in so many ways. An SE gets affiliated as being usually smaller anyway so why not make a Mini version since this new version will be the same screen size as the standard models? I think it makes too much sense not to at least look into it down the road for Apple, you’d get the best of both worlds for a smaller and affordable iPhone.

SE is about utilizing old components to make a cheaper phone, not a smaller one. The old SE being a small phone was just a coincidence. No one has been buying the iPhone 12 and 13 Mini, so Apple discounted this lineup
