The Future of Sustainable Energy May Float in the Ocean 🌊⚡️
Panthalassa’s Ocean-2 Project wants to revolutionise the ways we source wave energy. Using the natural movement of the ocean, this innovative technology could bring us closer to a future of sustainable energy. Mashable UK editor Shannon Connellan breaks down what you should know about Ocean 2🌊 #Sustainability #Tech #ocean2 #pathalassa #cleanenergy

So how do they overcome the losses due to resistance of such long power cables? On land it is normally done with Very high Voltage. Do you really want 10kV or more in a salt water environment?

Offshore wind farms already exist, this problem must be already solved

@geoffreymartin6363Ok then, can you answer my question? I’m curious, I stood watch on the ship’s generators on an aircraft carrier. I’m interested in the technical aspects.

Anyone wanna get some money together and get a few of these and an old drill platform and start Sealand 2, powered by Ocean 2

Explain? You cant create or destroy energy. The only thing you can do is change its current state through things like heat and light. The only “free energy we have on this plannet is that through renewable sources. That’s a fact, and if you can’t understand some of the most basic fundamental rules of physics, then we have truly failed as a grobal population to get that through you head.

Seems like it should have a contained internal mechanism so no seawater can corrode or clog it up. I’m sure someone will figure something out soon enough.
