Going to school in a refugee camp can be complicated: students encounter crowded classrooms, rigid curricula and limited access to teachers. Joel Baraka, who grew up in the Kyangwali refugee camp in Uganda, is determined to change that for the better. He shows how educational board games can be a fun and effective way to improve access to learning and help kids thrive in and out of school.

Good video. Don’t acknowledge the ignorance from the people commenting on his accent. If you work in Education it’s a more than worthwhile watch.

I love this. Not only making us aware of the displaced children of the world but the hope and passion for education is wonderful. He is a wonderful model of getting involved and showing what is possible…..

Incredible work! When he said , “to help distract children from their hunger by focusing on education, ” that hurt my heart. They still have a shortage of food, while here in America, we have obesity in children and young adults at a record high ever in history.
And for those asking what he said,🙄there are more important questions to ask yourself. How many languages do you speak? How are you being of service to others , to the world? AND how to turn on closed captioning on YouTube. 🥴😏

cool idea to the rural places, well, maybe even crowded places like refugee camps, etc….where there are shortage of facilities for children to learn. maybe he should modify the name though..looks a bit tough…and should loose the brightest stars idea though.
Great work helping out the neighborhood, be blessed.

Amazing Video. I’ve been quite unsure about investing in this current market and at the same time I feel it’s the best time to get started on the market. i was at a seminar and the host spoke about making over $972,000 within 3 Months with a capital of $200,000. i need to know how to go about it
