CNET
The absolute BEST smart display
There are four contenders: the Amazon Echo Show 8, JBL Link View, Google Nest Hub Max and Google Nest Hub. Only one can be the best.

Maybe people found out they were hacked by it, and that affected sales, so the price is creeping closer to zero dollars in noticeable lowered prices.
Please reply back to this comment and the other comment i posted to you in the comment thread just above this one.
If you are worried about being shadowbanned, then post the reply on my youtube page comment section that i made sure was available for anyone who wanted to share their opinioned concerns.
CNET, you are reading this, even if i’m shadowbanned or not, i know this for a fact.
Don’t be a strange stranger eh. Feel free to jump on in on the conversation right here in this very comment section, before any documentaries may become produced about the dangers of hackers and political collusion.

@True Tech wtf are you talking about? Google understands that the hardware is old, and they have lowered the price. They want as many people to be using Google assistant as possible, why else would minis be free in so many places?

@Ari Bloch I guess i’m talking about how CNET isn’t shadowbanning for one thing, though did mention in this comment section about my being hacked by dark web creepy types in 2004. That hack was the result of downloading the Yahoo Messenger social media app, because while yahoo knew their app was hacked to pieces by the dark web at the time, they certainly didn’t care about if anyone downloading their app would end up being victims of dark web hackers. Yahoo makes alot of money, and they would’ve made alot less if they posted ‘BOLD WARNINGS’ on their app’s advertisements and download/installation page.
Apparently gOOgle knew that gOOgle+ was also hacked by dark web connected sociopaths, and they didn’t say anything about it for quite a while, even though they knew they were marketing basically ‘hacker tools’. Their gOOgle+ was allowing hackers to breach their victims email accounts, and we all know how that would generally piss anyone off.
I had my gmail account hacked by the same person who hacked my yahoo messenger, and CNET published a how to check your email to see if it’s been hacked article on their website that i read about in 2014, that’s how i found out my email account was in fact hacked, and in the process, it revealed exactly whom owned the server that the email hack was originating from.
That email hack was caused by someone who founded the website cannabis-chatDOTnet.
I changed my email password upon noticing my account was hacked, and within days, i observed the owner of cannabis-chatDOTnet place his website up for sale for 5 grand. It sold rather quickly, via a firm in NYC that chose to place me on hold on their phone for over an hour, after i requested to speck directly with their security dept manager. They were hoping i’d hang up, though i waited that hour until they said that there was ‘nothing that they could do’.
That’s exactly ‘wtf’ i’m talking about.
I hope reading this helps you to become much safer online. I wish there was people willing to try to protect me, rather than their profit margins that are so important to them really.
You may or may not thank me later, instead of saying wtf.
Please be safe.

I think it a decent outcome for the displays, I have a few echos, a show and 2 dots, but since they’ve made them cross platform, when we get a bigger place I am looking at adding a google nest to the family, it will be annoying though saying “Alexa” in most rooms and then “ok google” in another. I would really like it if you could choose a standard wake word for all of them… this would also stop my phone from picking up the wake word when I’m trying to speak to the nest! 😂😂

You could probably activate the attention of hackers if you called out: “Ok Dark Web”.
Please reply back to this comment that i am saving into a text file, as i investigate sociopaths who engage in shadowbanning on these social engineering platforms, that causes MILE$ of various forms of abuse, including that of political collusion.
I never seem to get ‘ANY’ replies back from commenters on ‘this exact youtube channel’, so help me to learn if they are shadowbanning me.
There is shadowbanning, and ‘selective shadowbannning’. Selective is when they pick n choose which comments to allow, rather than shadowbanning all of em. It’s very disingenuous, and i have proof as i keep records for a documentary that will embarrass specific people involved in that.
Please reply back Tristan Goddard, and even anyone else who may be able to read this, even if they are CNET or Youtube employed.

Which one wont spy on me? I’m already on the dark web after being hacked in 2004, though why should i let hackers have further opportunities in 2020?
CNET should do a report on these devices and how they are the tools of hackers.

When you start to build a smarthome you choose a platform. By choosing a platform you accept the smartdisplay that comes with that. But nice to see a Good comparison.

In terms of security I would trust Google a million times more than any Amazon product. Amazon is a privacy issue waiting to happen.

Thank you for the video. I have been looking at the Nest Hub for quite sometime now because I am just curious about its features. I think the only difference between that and the Max are the screen size and camera (in my opinion). The price is also what attracts me as well to the product; but then again at the “back of my head” the word “Privacy” always comes to mind about these devices (nee Amazon Fire Echo issue). But overall, the video helps me to make a deciion on which device to get. 👍🇨🇦

Lenovo SmartDisplay 10 inch is currently half the price of the Google Nest (140 vs 300 CAD). I’ve bought 3, 1 for myself a year ago and 2 for family members and it works great. It also uses Google Assistant and Google Home. Personally, I don’t think the price difference would warrant getting the Google Nest Hub Max over the Lenovo SmartDisplay.
