Alexandra Merz, a Tesla shareholder known on social media as TeslaBoomerMama, discusses the approval of Elon Musk’s $1 trillion pay package, and what comes next for efforts to get Tesla to invest in xAI. She joins Caroline Hyde and Ed Ludlow on “Bloomberg Tech.” Correction: This video has been edited to fix a graphic error. One of the milestones for Elon Musk’s pay package is delivering 20 million vehicles over the next decade. A previous version of the graphic said 20 million vehicles annually.

Media depends on revenue from the industries that Elon is disrupting.
Sooo.;.. its always a negative slant.
Pathetic… but par for the course.

Elon got lucky that just when they were becoming profitable and had solved their production issues covid hit and Jerome powell cut rates to near zero. That triggered massive buying of cars. The same thing is very unlikely to repeat. You guys keep saying he has hit those targets before means nothing

This woman is a moron. This man hasn’t been delivering for the company in the last 3 to 4 years. Talked about starting a new political party, the cyber truck flopped and one thing that Tesla was profiting the most. Carbon credits is disappearing, and your conclusion is to give him more influence over the company… stupid.

I guarantee NONE of these critics would ever accept the same pay package terms for their own jobs, namely an extremely risky All-Or-Nothing deal of “increase company productivity, stock price, and revenue by 10x, 20x, 50x, or be paid NOTHING WHATSOEVER”. Not the head of CalPERS or the teachers union, no Wall Street banker, no corporate CEO and no virtue signaling woke leftist would ever accept such a pay package. They would demand a salary, guaranteed stock options and bonuses simply for showing up.

Bloomberg reporters are becoming activists themselves. Show me ONE CEO that can do anything close to what elon can and has done. I will wait. Very dissapointed to see your questioning side with ISS

  31. @apple1231230

    November 8, 2025 at 11:35 am

Yes Bloomberg, believe it or not but Tesla investors realize the key man risk but also want Elon to lead the company for the foreseeable future. We actually DO want him to be difficult to throw out by outside corporate invaders. Crazy right? Investors continuing to want the previous CEO with an absurd track record to keep leading.

Also the key man risk is not as large as it seems. If he were to die I’m pretty sure his stock is in a trust that would just hold the stock and sell a very small percent every year so it’s almost like a 25% buy back giving him these shares upon completion as he is very unlikely to sell them alive or not meaningfully.

  32. @kb-re5vr

    November 8, 2025 at 11:38 am

I am not worried about Elon getting to 25%. If he gets there, all share holders will be greatly rewarded. I am more concerned about those that voted against this. They don’t seem to care about what the impact on shareholders would be. They are only interested in their own ability to have power. I feel I know a lot about Elon both good and bad, but who are the power brokers behind these firms that voted no. I don’t know anything about their motivations beyond their desire for power.

  33. @kb-re5vr

    November 8, 2025 at 11:40 am

Elon has been the most openly communicative CEO, for all of his endeavors…whereas none of the institutions ever openly communicate their ideas or intentions because they know that it would be counterproductive to the company’s interests…they should immediately sell their stock…

What if Elon dies?? What if Steve Jobs dies? Oh, wait, he did. But that in no way means he wasn’t the best man for the job. Elon is the best man for the job, and he needs to be paid for his work, work that no one else will come close to doing in 100 years.

  41. @DanTheisen

Merz is 100% right. Elon is Tesla. Denying him pay over the last number of years is robbery. Paying him to meet audacious goals drives the company forward. Anything else would have left the company listless and adrift.

I guess tesla has decided to live by musk and die by musk. Most of the world will not buy anything from fascist oligarch musk and a company cannot grow with that kind of tarnished brand. Now the harsh reality of no government subsidies or carbon credits to sell will be reflected in the quarters ahead with low demand. Elon has warned already of how bad the future quarters will be. FAFO

    • @zachb1706

      November 9, 2025 at 5:36 am

The public doesn’t buy the leftist narrative that Musk’s a “fascist”, that’s why Tesla just posted record revenues. You failed

    • @LuisRojas-uu4om

      November 9, 2025 at 2:16 pm

@zachb1706 We all know the reason the revenues were better was because of the expiring tax credits and lowering of margins. That is why future quarters are going to tank badly like musk himself has told us. Stop drinking the koolaid, reality is coming

Alexandra Merz is now my favorite analyst. She works so hard in behalf of Tesla’s shareholders and I believe she is the united voice of a large army of very involved Tesla investors. She led the campaign to get the anti-American Schwab to change their vote to yes on Elon’s pay package. They should still be ashamed of themselves and we will not forget their position prior to the pressure that was brought upon them to do the right thing. I have one last account there that I will be moving to Fidelity unless they come out publicly denouncing ESG & DEI woke agendas that they should never have gotten involved with in the first place.

2:14 what a stupid question, right? “Distracted”??? Which other “car” company has the advantage of their CEO sharing the best innovative ideas from the space technology, or neurology (think about connecting neuralink inventions with Tesla robotic arms or legs?), or any other insane advaced technology firms he owns?! You could say that he could becomemdistracted by other Tesla ventures, be it into the chargers, semi trucks, batteries, solar, powerwalls, chip design? Instead, the idiots should see the pattern in his brilliant ability to fuse together all knowledge relevant to Tesla or making humans multiplanetary species?!

  85. @Alarix246

    November 10, 2025 at 2:10 pm

Whaaaat???! “Course correct”??? Is there any more successful company that could serve as a role model, oooh, (self-censoring @#%!@???). How dares she use this nasty tone?! There is nobody better than Elon for this task! The American Teachers Union don’t like him? Great! It’s an honor, because nobody has worse results than this fake teacher union!
