They always get great actors for the superman role who are actually pretty thoughtful about the character and seem like real fans, while the directors and writers just dont get it. Gunn seemed like he had no real answers for these questions. But the cast was really thinking.
BTW: Clark doesnt kill because he has living parents. He keeps in touch with ma and pa back at the farm. Imagine having to explain to his pacifist parents why he had to blow up that criminal one punch man style.
And its a justice thing, Clark believes in the legal system and doesn’t want to scare people by not believing in due process. He just doesnt want to be that kind of threat.

12:10 james Gunn please see this! Kara is stated to be stronger in many comics compared to Superman due to her being stuck in space orbiting a yellow sun, supercharging her. She was a teenager when Clark and her were sent off Krypton, but she landed when Clark was an adult and established as Superman. It’s been stated that because of the time spent orbiting a yellow sun she is stronger than him. Not true in every comic but it would be really cool to see

Gunn is definitely a Superman fan, so that’s cool. I’m a little surprised he doesn’t know the actual reason Lex is bald. It was a printing error. It happened in the Superman comic strip. And it was so popular that it stuck to this day. Same exact reason Hulk is green. Given that Gunn knows Lois has powers in comics right now, I’m surprised he doesn’t seem to know that Superman has been able to travel through time and dimensions at will for a few years. He even taught Kara and Jon how to do it, so they also can travel through time at will. They don’t have to ramp up their speed or anything, they can do it just as easily as flying.
