9:47 this was actually because he was trying to find a way to defeat Vecna. The only thing that could defeat Vecna would be someone who has powers like him, so he experimented on the children to try to make one either as strong or stronger than Vecna to kill him. That’s why I’d consider Brenner as more of a morally gray character, fighting the bad side but not doing it in a morally good way.

Even the “correct answer” was wrong for why El lost her powers. Brenner explained it in se4. He said when she was attacked it scrambled everything and she was like a stroke victim learning how to walk and talk again…only for El it was relearning how to access and use her powers.

7:50 The answer for how Henry (001) got his powers is wrong! It is fully explained in the Broadway play The First Shadow which is known to be cannon. I don’t want to spoil anything and idk what they will include in Season 5 but Henry was not born with the powers and he didn’t get them “naturally” just wanted to clear that up

4:49 – my theory is that instead of vecna controlling the mind flayer like we’ve always thought, i think the kid flayer controls vecna… i think he possessed Henry in the cave (the traumatic memory) similar to will, and has been controlling vecna to some extent, maybe all the stuff vecna has been doing is to escape. This would make sense because in another interview the cast members said that vecna is misunderstood…and here you can see Natalia wants to say something to correct the others
