NASA should be shut down. The government should only contract private companies to accomplish its goals in space.

I can tell Ms Garver is excited about this upcoming mission.. and I am too! Fingers crossed that all goes well, as it seems riskier than the usual rocket launch.

NASA is a customer of SpaceX. NASA is not a competitor. SpaceX is a company that builds space launch vehicles like Falcon 9 and Starship, NASA is a government agency that does scientific research. The kinds of research NASA does is not immediately or obviously profitable so not many corporations do it. The world needs both government agencies and corporations for space exploration. I hope my explanation helps you understand.

It was my understanding that 2 of the four crew were SpaceX employees, not 3 of the four (just the two women).
